Elegant, unfailingly polite to everyone who wants an autograph, funny and utterly cool. David Bowie: a true star in every sense of the word.
Totally. Would clearly have been busy and stressed but still in high spirits and never too much trouble to stop and do signings :) What a lovely person he was as well as incredibly gifted to boot.
except he wasn't always polite; he was often abrupt and rude to make-up artists et-al... still, too bad he smoked and c/wouldn't give up....
So at ease with himself and his surroundings.
As an art history student I think Bowie's' sense of humour is frickkin' brilliant!
what has studying to do with that?
wanna rub it in faces on youtube?
Lol
uh... maybe the art history references that he's constantly joking about has something to do with his comment. wake up
I´m pretty sure that it has something to do with it, but you really don´t have to study art history to recognise that and find it funny. Plus nobody really cares what William Kusumadi studies.
Btw. i´d rather go to sleep, because it´s late.
cool. just putting context cause you asked what studying had to do with it. good night sweet prince.
The world is so much emptier without David Bowie in it
He took the time to sign every autograph with a smile for everyone
The greats are all like that. Robert Plant and Jimmy Page do as well. It's the lesser artists who are stuck up.
David checked out a good time the world is a shit hole now
Those people getting autographs: No hello, how are you?, or what music are you working on now? No attempt at any chat. No compliments or anything!! Just give me the autograph. Sheesh!
@@dinkeedee yeah! And even girls saying It's my pen! Jajajajaja
I miss him, I miss him the most, but I miss all the 'real deal' guys, we're left with a few good ones & a lot of wake riding empty smile wannabe's, put Let's Dance on now, then tell me what the fuck could top that, let alone his less commercial songs too numerous to mention. Yeah, I miss him, can't fully explain why either. Over & out....
The way he just pocketed that one woman's pen and she shouted 'it's mío!" xD I can't xD
*walks up to a dumpster* "This is more my kind of area" lol
David Bowie's humour was so ahead of his time
@James Henderson 😐 as opposed to? Fuck whatever caused it.
😭
If that's the Plaza Santa Ana, that street he was walking into is full of cosy ancient day-time tabernas, which is what he was looking for.
I think that's the joke
Basically, David invented vlogging 👏 Always ahead of the game!
No he didn't. "Vlogging is millenial horseshit"
@@desolationrow sour puss.
@@desolationrow Absolute nonsense. It might not have been called "vlogging" until 2002, but that's just terminology. Video blogging has been around since at least 1972, when the first home video recorder was produced. I would argue that the very first vlog was a documentary movie made in 1922 about the Canadian Inuit Eskimos.
No, Nelson Sullivan invented the vlog as we know it
Bowie was also the first musician ever to have an album online for downloads .
I never get bored watching Bowie. He was such a wonderful entertainer and always doing something different, whether on stage or in public. RUclips is fantastic to keep all our idols alive...
This is the culmination of all Bowie's finest dad jokes

Which one? Two different women (not girls) asked for their pens back.

@Maurice Goldner No way! Where did he get it? Was it a toupe or something?
Frampton's hair needs to be mentioned as well. So many musicians have such great locks - I think it's because they are chilled out more than normal people and always riding a groove. (They always say your hair falls out when stressed....so all you men need to chill! lol)

They were accosting him, there was no asking him for an autograph. So rude. But he was so nice about it.

David Bowie was thoroughly likeable and gorgeous, but every video I see of him makes his personality more and more beautiful.
A true British gentleman (and a tremendous loss to mankind)
Yes indeed, a gentleman he was. Despite all the qualities he had, he was always a humble and friendly person

Well Bowie said ‘no he’s not Peter Frampton’ to the guy who asked Frampton if he was actually Peter Frampton

Epic footage. David KNOWS how to work a crowd without a song or a musical instrument. Even Frampton was star-struck watching David work every single angle here with utter efficiency. The fans, the camera crew And those of us watching at home... David kept everyone entertained. This is a pro at work! Take notes, folks! RIP BOWIE!
Peter Frampton must have felt very bad of that just one fan recognized him, and I understand him, he's a legend as well!.....
that's what I was thinking... but he was walking with Bowie so what can you expect. Maybe it was that hair or Frampton was never big in Spain.
gonz velaz No he doesnt care about silly stuff like that.
Bowie was quite the personality and seemed to carry a strong presence with him. Anyone would've had a hardtime being recognised next to him. He's a natural spotlight stealer
Frampton wasn't a mainstay on MTV in the 80s, with new albums and videos, as well as having a movie career. If it had been 1980, Frampton would've been recognized in most big cities. Although, he doesn't have a look that is as recognizable as Bowie did.

I wonder if you guys, watching this, realize David and Peter go clear back to highschool together? Peter's father had David as a student in his class! You're watching a couple of long-time teenage schoolpals out for mischief , and I do believe David is giving Peter and ourselves a mock-up of the sorts of lessons he and Peter (and George Underwood) all had to study in Art School.
