It's probably more efficient meta wise to go for E1 while using Fall of Aeon. However one big problem I'm seeing is every destruction unit is fighting for this damn light cone. If you didn’t pull any signature LC's, Blade, Jingliu, Daniel, Xueyi, Clara, and probably even Yunli if you're also going for her, all want to use Aeon as their best in slot F2P option. So if you use a lot of destruction units it might be worth going for solely so they don’t all have to share.

As someone who eternally struggles with a lack of aether I feel bad for anyone who gets their Firefly only to realize that the Flames Afar they leveled for her based on the advice of CCs is basically worthless.
I hate it lvl 80 r5 and then got 2 extra from the story just for her not to be compatible with it, there'll probably be a destruction character in the future that can use it tho

F2P option is Fall of Aeon, because she convert her atk to BE. Flames Afar is unfortunately not good for her, the sustain is not needed because she already has dmg reduction in her kit and she can heal from her Enchanced Atk. Plus she will be in her Combustion State almost 90% of the time, the time she will consume her HP as normal SAM is very low.
1: Since her trace gives BE from ATK high base attack and ATK% scale amazing with her. DMG% and Crit are basically worthless. 2: Her talent increases her survivability greatly + her Action Advances in her kit allow her to use enhanced skill to heal immediately + Gallagher's Besotted to heal even more. Survivability should not be a big issue for her especially since the 4* Gallagher is so good with her and on her banner and free from the selector. Basically Signature > On the Fall of an Aeon > high Superimposition Indelible Promise > High base attack and attack% weapons
indelible promise is terrible at anything under S5, and even at S5 it’s only about 1-2% better than clara’s sig or even acheron’s sig. firefly’s lc ability is so garbage that ignoring the ability altogether somehow makes more sense
Firefly looks like she can get her ult up pretty quickly and when in the complete combustion state she heals herself anyway so you don't need the sustain from flames afar
Unfortunately Flames Afar dmg boost doesn't actually affect super/break. Firefly's damage outside of break is pretty similar to Boothill, maybe even less if you consider that she doesn't have crit. Worth mentioning it especially if you're considering it.

@@rohitrai4576 Whatever gives ATK and ATK%. You can save up for Clara LC I guess, but she may get an easier f2p LC in the near future since she’s currently the poster child. You can consider using other buffers in your team like Hanya who buffs ATK% and speed which are both good stats in Firefly (if you’re not using Ruan Mei + Harmony MC)

This will be a fantastic lightcone to pick up for destruction characters running with Ruan Mei and HMC. So far it will enable jingliu, xueyi, DHIL E2, Misha, and Hook on hyper break teams, and potentially more future destruction characters
I'm not sure what EoD means by Indelible Promise being limited, but you can get that light cone from any pull after the patch that light cone is introduced. Same as other new 4 star light cone.
It's still luck based so therefore limited, you theoretically can get that LC doesn't mean you'll get it. On top of it that LC isn't even worth using if it's not S5, so just either pull for her sign or use the Herta LC
This looks like a prime rerun pickup; like yes its really good but Fall of an Aeon works well on her, and I need to get Jade 🐍❤ so not this time around, but maybe next time.
I think Nowhere to run BP lightcone will finally have a use since firefly has dual scaling with break and Atk and nowhere to run LC is Atk destruction LC but I couldn't find anyone testing it out
For Flames Afar 4star lightcone, the 50% increase in dmg does not affect break/super break damage right? If so that's unfortunate since most of her dmg is break dmg :(

I had this dilemma until recently. My thought process became this: 1. Is firefly your waifu? (Most important) 2. Do you have the tools to make FF effective? (Team comp) 3. Do you have your acheron exodia? (Meaning acherons best team) If 1 is yes, then yeah follow your heart HAHAHAHA. If no, consider 2 and 3 to make your decision. 👀

100% Aoen. It gives so much Attack and the more attack Firefly has the more Break effect you get in return because of her BE conversion. Can't believe he didn't mention this

Her Sign outperforms S5 On the fall of Aeons by 10-20% (various sources) while her E1 offers 15% Def shred (~10% damage increase) along with eleviating her main weakness: SP consumption, opening up more team building flexibility for future supports, which is way more valuable than her Sign metawise. So unless you have to share that f2p LC with another Destruction units, E1 is the easy choice, her pull piority should be E0 > Ruan Mei (if you don't already have her) > E1 > E2 > S1.

I wanted to do some calculations. Indelible Promise gives 56% Break Effect at S5. When holding On the Fall of an Aeon, Firefly has about 1053 base ATK, and the cone gives her 64% ATK at max stacks at S5. So she's getting approximately 673.9 ATK, which translates to a 53.6% Break Effect buff (rounded down). The difference in base ATK means Firefly has more Break Effect holding On the Fall of an Aeon than Indelible Promise even with no extra ATK% (ignoring the 1800 minimum ATK to start gaining the buff, but Firefly will reach that more easily with OFA than IP). Basically, OFA is just better. It's worth pointing out that the ATK buff still counts as ATK as well so it's increasing her innate scaling, and OFA has higher base defensive base stats as well.

99% of her damage profile is break damage which mean dmg% and crit are generally useless for her, only atk% still matter as it is converted to BE through her trace.

It depends on the amount of pity you have. But it might help you to know that it is quite likely that Jiaoqiu will release in the second half of the version update.
Go and get your Firefly and Ruan Mei before you're thinking of getting any signature Lightcones. Firefly heavily needs Ruan Mei. Also, Firefly's E1 and E2 just have way more value than S1

literally any high atk cone is. acheron’s cone is unironically better than the misha cone in testing. acheron cone. the wrong path.

indelible promise is terrible at anything under S5, and even at S5 it’s only about 1-2% better than clara’s sig or even acheron’s sig.

Event 4* light cones usually aren’t added to the banner. Example silver wolfs before the tutorial starts. The one u mentioned is from a recent banner.
Flames afar won’t really be that good she is only draining her once one in a blue moon fall of aeon will be way more consistent and just do more dmg
