Congrats! I had a similar experience as you in college. I got suspended for academics, and I thought that medical school wasn’t a option for me. During my suspension I got in a lot of trouble with alcohol and everything changed once I found Jesus. Went back to school, increase my GPA from 0.7 -> 3.1 and now I’m studying at a USMD. Wish you the best of luck.

I had a question- do you think in the first 2 years at SGU, they prepare you well for Step 1, like US Medical Schools do? I know US Med Schools push you towards doing Step 1 questions with blocks from the beginning, does SGU emphasize that as well with their curriculum?
Hi Bristi! Thanks for reaching out. So far, I feel like SGU does a great job at preparing you for step. I’ve heard this from many 3rd years and alumni. They try and mock the STEP 1 exam as well as they can. We have 3 blocks with 20 minute breaks in between. Each block is about 48 questions long and you have approximately 1:05hrs to complete each block. I hope this helps.
