Bro! Your content is top notch! You gained a subscriber!! As a young Christian and also first year med student, I was very inspired when I watched the part you had to pray and read the word! Great way to start the day!! Keep it up Wishing you all the very best in your medical career! It's not going to be easy but you've got this!! I believe in you! And most importantly, God has your back!
oh man haha. this is surreal seeing. graduated in 2020 from SGU and in residency right now. just seeing the campus brings back so many memories. can't wait to visit post residency and see how much as has changed. haven't been back since 2018. enjoy your time there while you can. honestly, go see as much nature as possible. it's my one regret. also... in founders library in the private study rooms, I think on the second one to the right you'll see "mayur
@@Iloveamerica97 I’m in residency so yes. Most people do. Don’t expect like derm or plastic surgery. All those hyper competitive fields. Keep in mind those are even hard to get for American students. But most other things are on the table. Just look at our match lists and you’ll see what most people matched into. Cheers.
I just want to say how excited I am seeing this and how thankful I am to have found your channel. You seem like such a kind spirit and I'm happy we have someone like you in the world. Its my dream to do medicine at sgu 🥰. In the process of applications at the moment! Also, new subbie 😊. Keep taking care of yourself!
I know how tough is medical school is because two of my kids are in medical school in the mother land, America, right now. One is in her first year and second one is in his second year. My first year kid will have to cover 30 chapters within two weeks starting next week. She finished her first block with Anatomy, Biostatistic, Embriology, and Histology. She passed all subjects with three of it in 90 percentile. She is now in 2nd block of her first year. My son is doing good too. One more semester, he will be in his 3rd year clinical rotation. As a parents, we pray for them everyday to pass medical exam. It doesn't matter what grade you get as long as you pass is better than failing. Both of my kids have master degrees in public health and medical science. Medical science helps a lot in medical school because it covers medical school courses.
Well, that's an easy day. We had class from 8am-2pm, then we would sit in the library studying from around 2pm to midnight, no breaks, five days per week.
I'm not saying it like the work is a chore or anything like that. It's important to enjoy what you do. I'm also saying that it's important to have balance and have passions outside of medicine too. E.g. for me that's tennis and running
You seem to have your stuff together which is admirable so I wish you well. I did Grenada & completed the program in ‘97. I lived in the “round houses” & in some other places which were rather dumpy. Does Sandblast sill exist on Grand Anse beach?
What campus are you going to?? I’m debating between nursing or medical school right now. The idea of nursing is great because I feel like I can be a strong patient advocate, plus I love traveling so I’d love to be a travel nurse. But on the other hand, medical stuff is really interesting and knowing what a doctor knows sounds really interesting too. I’m looking into Saba university medical school in the Caribbean islands if I do end up going. What made you want to go to medical school?? And I’m the Caribbeans?
Hey Juan! I would say everyones journey is different. I was 27 when I started medical school, so I figured I was still relatively young and had the energy to get myself through medical school. Lots of contributing factors played a role into me ending up in a Caribbean medical school. But the main was my MCAT. Do what you feel is best! Take care.
Great video! I'm quite curious, when you were doing your post-review part 2, I notice you had a timer on your laptop going while studying. Could you explain your study process?
Hi, I am attending Term1 this fall. I might need a tutor. I know the school has DES and other support groups/resources but I might need private tutor. Do you know anyone or any student who receives help from private tutor? Thanks!!
Hi! I got accepted recently to SGU as well as Ross and AUC and I’m trying to connect with former/current students to find answers to some questions that are more student life related! Would you be willing to connect to talk about some of these questions or do you have any recommendations of how I could reach out to current/former students??
Congraulations on your acceptences! I'd be more than willing to do a video call whenever you're available. Just email me. juliansoloriotorres@gmail.com :)

It's the best way to start the day, and thanks for your encouraging words! Are you still in medical school?!
Yes I am! By the grace of God 😊🙌🏾
This was very nice to see! I love how you pray throughout the day - Praise God. Good luck in your studies!
Wow! So fascinating to see what it’s like! The campus is gorgeous. The editing for this video was so cool!
Thank you so much!

Is it possible to get residencies in U.S.? There is lot of stigma regarding that.
