I suppose, by this time, they'd spent 10 years releasing classic singles & all people knew of them was they had a guitarist who looked a bit like Captain Sensible! Fans don't tend to remember this as their best era but, at the time, it was brilliant being a Damned fan-there was a real feeling that things were happening-a real buzz about the whole thing!
I can't believe this was over twenty years ago already. I remember watching this transfixed. I love this band. And I reckon this was their best lineup. (Sorry Captain)

@PaulDysongs Brian James was the Bet Guitarist the Damned ever had. Listen to Fish, no one can match Brian James. A very underated guitarist.
