    Nice to some good sportsmanship by both teams, pretty atypical in CBVAs for some reason haha

      @@yellow8206 Doesn't mean you can lift it like that. This guy is pulling it lower than his chin then pushing it up. I think the rule of thumb is it has to stay above your head and leave your hands fairly quickly

      @@yellow8206yeah no, if the ball is at your chest you're bringing it too low and that's automatically a lift

    Can someone explain to me what exactly is wrong with the hand sets made by the player with the purple long sleeve? I am still learning the nuances of the sport, Thanks!

      Imagine it as changing the momentum of the ball twice. He pulls the ball down, then pushes it up. Should look as one motion of pushing the ball with upward momentum only. Could also be seen as extended contact with fingertip action as a lift. That's just my opinion on it though, no expert. It never got called and this is AA so what do I know.

      @funyguy91191 10 месяцев назад +7

      By "AA" standards, they're definitely lifts. Considering this is "AA" they should be judging the hand sets more harshly. He is both changing direction (as you said, ball moving down AND up in his hands, instead of just stopping the ball and sending it up) as well as quite a long contact time.@@GrandpaJean

    • @kelpipoo7123
      @kelpipoo7123 10 месяцев назад +3

      After 7 points they switch sides due to being outside the weather can play a large factor so switching helps to keep it equal playing field

    • @greggibson33
      @greggibson33 10 месяцев назад +1

      Agreed. This looked like a B. All AA tourneys are not created equal. That's why the rating system has flaws. Not sure how to fix it. Technically the winners are now AAA but I've seen other AAA's that would demolish them. Not to mention the quality of players in different parts of the state.

      The wind is a big factor. All of the “athletes” get weeded out if they aren’t good in the elements.

    • @chrislindgren5863
      @chrislindgren5863 10 месяцев назад +3

      That’s because we beat the “athletes” in pool play and the semis

      It's nearing the end of the season. If you go to the first B's of the season you'll see some really stacked B's... a lot of higher level players sandbagging (they formerly had double AA ratings but hadn't renewed them).
      At the end of the season the pendulum swings to the other side and the average skill level is low. It's like this every year.
