  • SUNCT is a type of sharp headaches related to Trigeminal Neuralgia. Physician's believe that there is no cure. But if the lower jaw is too far back, it can put pressure on the Facial nerve (Cranial Nerve VII).
This video is of a patient with Neurologist diagnosed SUNCT. She has had many headaches, TMJ pain and other TMD symptoms as well.
We are helping her greatly with Neuromuscular orthotic treatment. Part 2 video was shot just one hour later...showing complete resolution without ANY drugs or injections....but through NMD protocol of treatment.

Why this attack & name calling - "witch doctor"? Look...this patient continues to remain totally symptom free for 4 years now post treatment. Yet 6 different neurologists in Kansas City region - including at a teaching hospital - came to a conclusion that NOTHING can be done. NONE of the meds were effective. Yet my approach Physiologic Neuromuscular dentistry resolved her symptoms entirely. Yet...I am the one being attacked here. I don't understand this at all.

Is this not the height of arrogance to question my motives & attack me as witch doctor because you can't understand what I do? Doctors have been attacked throughout history if their paradigm does not conform to existing orthodoxy. Sommelweis was attacked in 1830's Vienna when he suggested doctors wash their hands after doing autopsies before delivering babies. He ended up dying in insane asylum before Pasteur proved he was right. There are more recent examples of such paradigm shifts also.

    Degenerative
changes in the cervical spine can be found in virtually
all people over 40 years of age. However, large-scale
controlled studies have shown that such changes are
equally widespread among people with and people
without headache. [International Headache Society, 2013]

You are entitled to your opinion. :-) SUNCT diagnosis came from several neurologists - not from me. It is possible that you have more expertise in SUNCT than these neurologists. I don't claim that.
BTW, this is NOT dental treatment -as in fixing teeth as dentists usually do. It is actually realigning the jaw & neck - through Advanced Neuro Muscular dental techniques - just to be clear.

It's not arrogance, it's anger directed at you from past personal experiences. I am glad that you were able to help this patient. However, I do not think that the diagnosis of Trigeminal Neuralgia is necessarily appropriate or supporte, although that is hard to tell without more information, and I doubt that your adjustment techniques truly cure TN - but I am happy you have helped this young lady and I apologize for calling you a witch doctor. Some times what we need is magic more than medicine.

I have SUNCT & Chronic Migraine and it's hell on earth. I'm on so many meds I don't know what day it is and they still come back every year even worse. Surgical options are all that's left.

And, as you read my response below, you are not deserving of anger or grousing as much as other people and incidents in my past and the past of my family and friends.
Now that I have settled down my knee-jerk reactions, what kind of neuro muscular techniques do you use? I can see that there are many situations of impingement and blocked circulation in the nerves themselves that could be helped by realignment. What are the main indications you look for?

I would have left this as is had you not replied to me and got me to thinking as a gentler, kinder person after my morning cup of coffee. As I am in the middle of a paroxysmal hemicrania this morning I have had better days.
Anyway, read on in my replies, please.

Amen. Boy, do I hate when witch doctors like this get hold of people in pain!! We have a cluster headache 2012 group on Facebook that I would be quite glad to have another brother/sister as knowledgeable as you join.

This "is a ceramic container of that which promoteth growth and exudes a unique aroma" -- it's a crock of [stuff] and stinks to high heaven!!
Your passion is none of what you claim, it is to sucker in suffering people and make money practicing witch doctoring.
My opinion as a doctor who routinely deals with trigeminal autonomic cephalgias, which clinically cannot be related to "neuro muscular techniques in the jaw & neck" and be defined as TACs.
