Unfortunately due to the use of only ONE angle to show the kata your tutorials are really lacking. Redo these and for EACH kata and show a front shot (you have this already) and then set up your tripod and shoot the same kata but at a SIDE ANGLE. Make sure that the side angle presents the side where the cuts are displayed most clearly. Also you really need to bring the camera closer as the detail of instruction is lost when the distance between you and the camera is too far. The presentation and choice of environment is spot on. I worked within the movie industry for well over a decade in Hollywood CA.
Great performance man, just a little advice, when doing kaishaku you should draw the blade sideways to avoid reflecting any light which could give unnecessary fear to the samurai committing seppuku Keep up the good work
As others noticed your cuts need lots of improvement. Still you are doing well, learning, not afraid of shoing your mistakes. I like your forms in general. I do video recording also on my katas to see myself and its good to spot my mistakes. The.main mistake of your cuts is that you chop down a bit. You need to imagine the opponent, the point of contact and the full force should be achieved and transferred upon reaching the point of contact. It can be the lack of strong sense of the imaginary opponent? Maybe. Anyway. Keep up the good work.
Hi, I also practice budo, daito ryu aikijujutsu and kenjutsu of the Ono school ha Itto ryu Takedaden, a little Tenshin ryu iaido.I really like your practice videos. Thanks and greetings from the Russian city of Surgut,
@@KeitaAraiSamurai What I liked IS your zanshin and chakugan. Also your attitude is correct 😊. The techniques will come with the time my friend. Hugs from Spain.
Hello, out of curiosity, who would you be Ryuha? Or do you train ZNKR (Seitei) iaido? I saw a lot of mistakes for those who do Seitei Iaido and it doesn't seem like Jikiden Ryu or Muso Shiden Ryu to me, but rather a mixture of these ryuhas
Your motions are not sensible and fluid. You move like an old machinery which has not been greased for a long time. As a fellow practitioner my advice would be PRACTICE, PRACTICE and PRACTICE. You will be a master soon in time, which I'm sure. Have a good faith and may use your sword on good faith. Best wishes...
Oh does it matter post a video of yourself so he can judge you that would be the honourable thing to do.. Iaido has this ego hierarchy thing where many think they're perfect but they're not.

I was Eishin ryu,There are lots style & Dojo.I respect all ways and Dojo.
I also IAIDO practitioner, from Muso Shinden Ryu, in our ryuha, this is an shoden waza, with different name.
It's difference with each style.
When people are drinking Tea in a incorrect traditional way, I come out swinging!
All the seiza waza can be done standing.
you need more practice on your downward swing- stop point, you are wavering- and also more attention too your resheathing of sword- looks unsteady.
Outstanding! Well done! 👏

😇 !
