Welcome to part 5 of this clean-up.
I hope you are enjoying this series! If you are wondering where the "when will I learn" comment comes from it's due to me always trying to guess how many parts a series will be when I start a job. Inevitably I ALWAYS get it incredibly wrong...next time I'll just start a job without saying how many parts I think it will be....maybe.
The work being done at this job from this part onwards is now free of charge as the quote with the council was only for the first three visits. The client was more than happy for me to continue to record the work.

WHOA! I'm surprised you didn't get picked up and blown away like the Wizard of Oz!! Gale winds you said.. I'm shocked you lasted as long as you did. Trimming up the trees really made a difference in that bed, and of course, moving all the debris that was laying around. Blessings from Washington State! 💛🖤💛 Stacy

This garden keeps getting bigger. Its amazing once the overgrown shrubs are removed or trimmed another vista is revealed.Who would have known there were two sheds lurking. The "Lawn guy" will get a surprise if he turns up again. Great job Ryan
That other guy should be absolutely ashamed that he let his friend's backyard get to that massively overgrown state.

I love that you're going to put a bit of a garden bed in with the green waste money, it's so obvious that this was a garden that much care had been put into once upon a time. To have you sprucing it up for her must mean so much!

Blimey, that garden just gets bigger and bigger, Ryan! You're doing such a great job and giving it the TLC it desperately needs. I hope the lady gets rid of her current lawn guy because it looks like he's done virtually nothing. As I said in a previous video, she could probably do better with a local person who just wants a little bit of pocket money coming over every couple of weeks or once a month to mow the grass. That's all the current guy is doing, but I'm sure she can get someone who wants to do more for the money.
Those roots by the bbq didn't want to move, did they? I thought you'd have to take a hammer and chisel to them! As for the bed and mulch, I think that's a really sweet and generous gift. She obviously is very appreciative of you and everything you're doing for her, so this will really make her day. People like you are few and far between. 😊

Wonderful how the garden opened up with lathe cutting back, removing bushes and vines and getting rid of all the materials laying there like a huge lasagna. I was afraid the grey pieces were asbestos, but seeing you casually picking it up put me at ease. Btw that was a huge piece of timber in your eye 😮 great work and how lovely you’re spending the money on mulch for a garden bed. She’ll love it.

Yay! The root by the cook area is history! My elderly self kept looking at the trees swaying like a tornado was coming in and the lightening rod, I mean clothes line right next to where you were working. I am glad you stopped before I had a panic attack!

Thank you for another good video. The changes are so drastic and beautiful. It will be wonderful to see bark mulch in the beds to cut down on weed growth and keep moisture in the ground for the tree roots. Have a great week.

One may not specifically remember that someone said thank you, but will remember if someone did not. Often an expression of gratitude - whether verbal or even a cookie - means more than financial remuneration. I'm so happy for the lady to be able to truly enjoy her garden again! If I was doing the trimming of those trees all low hanging branches would be removed
Do your legs ever get scratched up and scarred from the weed wacker debris hitting them or all the weeds and thorns rubbing against them? I'm surprised you never wear pants as a preventative.
Yes they do but I've built a pretty good tolerance, I don't like working in pants as I get too warm.
