  • Mount Moriah is mentioned by name only two times in the Bible, 2 Chronicles 3:1 and Genesis 22:2 David built an altar to Yahweh in the same place Abraham went to sacrifice Isaac. Joel Kramer, SourceFlix, took us up onto the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. After Solomon’s temple was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar, Zerubbabel rebuilt on the ruins of Solomon’s Temple, Ezra 6:3,7. Herod the Great expanded Zerubbabel’s Temple and Jesus in Matthew 24:1-2 prophesied that it would be destroyed! Joel continues to teach through the history of this Biblically important historical site. What a profound place this is, the most sensitive place on earth.
    • The Temple Mount, Teac... Here Joel teaches on top of the Temple Mount as we walk around this important Biblical site.

Also the location of the threshing floor where Ruth became engaged to her kinsman redeemer, Boaz! Her great grandson, King David, bought that threshing floor and built an altar there.

Love this. Can I ask how can we know it's the same threshing floor? Bethlehem and Jerusalem are close to each other, yes, but how can we know both happened on the same one?

The Jewish day of mourning is on the 9th day of the Jewish month of Av. Both the 1st Temple and 2nd Temple were both destroyed on this same day in their respective years.

Yes, I noticed that when I was filming! 👍😊 I have just started taking the archaeological and creation evidence out into the street using an easel, photographs and audios of Joel’s teachings and from scientists. The Christians will come and talk but many listen at the edges. They will probably never have known that there is actual evidence that corroborates the Bible, God is good! 🙌✝❤

@@gregdavis19 my tours are biblical evidence in the British Museum and creation tours in the Natural History Museum. Taking the creation evidence onto the streets I feel will have the greatest impact, when people hear the frauds committed by the scientists themselves they are left with choosing their creator, aliens or our Lord? They still have to make a choice but it can no longer be that ‘nothing made everything’. Darwin’s failed theory has shipwrecked too many souls, and when the men hear the truth they will stand as the spiritual head of their families, and become ambassadors for the King of Kings, that is the desire of my heart. ✝😊

The book is called Where God Came Down: The Archaeological Evidence by Joel P Kramer. You can purchase it from Joel’s site called wheregodcamedown.com or Amazon or Christianbooks.com Joel was using a pre published print with our tour group, an excellent book.

The temple of Zorubbabel could not have been larger than that of Solomon on that site ---- the site is too small ---- but large enough for a Roman camp with enough soldiers to extend the wall.

it wasn’t until I became saved that I understood the importance of archaeology. As Christians we have the longest historical narrative, the Bible, the archaeological evidence that corroborates it and the fossil evidence confirms the biblical narrative of Noah’s Flood and creation. The large museums are our best friend, lots of evidence in one place, become a biblical tour guide! 👍😊

at 18:39, you explain the location of Christ's crucifixion is not the same as the temple mount. I think that is the main problem I have with your teaching here. It makes far more sense prophetically that Abraham prepared to sacrifice Isaac at the same place that Christ Himself was crucified and offered up as the ultimate substitutionary sacrifice for us. Abraham was told to " go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about." Not "THE Mt. Moriah", but the region of Moriah on one of the mountains. David built an altar on the threshing floor of arunah we are told in 2 Sam 24 and 1 Chron 21. The Threshing floor is where David built his altar, where Solomon built the temple, and where following temple reconstructions were including Herod's. The place where Abraham took Isaac to be sacrificed was most likely a hill near the Mt. Moriah area, but was actually Golgotha's hill. This makes much more sense prophetically as well.

It actually only makes sense when it (the temple) is placed right above the city of David as we know it today (between what is called the temple mount and the city of David). Also, God is much more peculiar with where he puts his name. He would not have a mosque where his house was imo. Josephus said you could not even recognize the area anymore. Also, a Roman coin was found under Herod's wall as they call it. If that were the temple mount, it would have Solomonic evidences before bedrock. And Romans were not around during Solomon obviously (the first temple period). However, being Christian, we are the temple of God today, and not a building.

His book is available on Amazon titled Where God Came Down - The Archaeological Evidence by Joel P. Kramer. So glad you like his teachings there are over a hundred films on biblicaltours RUclips channel of Joel’s Biblical Study tour around Israel. The playlist is Joel Kramer, SourceFlix, Biblical evidence. I highly recommend taking a tour with him if you are able in the future!

Dear Joel, Jehovah is the Hebrew name for God in the Hebrew Bible and Christian Old Testament. He is introduced in the book of Genesis, or beginnings, as creator of the universe and everything in it. The name Yahweh comes from the Hebrew word for "I am," which was eventually translated as "Jehovah." it would be nice to hear GODS name uttered from your lips

In a COPY of the KING JAMES version of the BIBLE printed on 22nd March 1915 (revised from 11th July 1839) ---- Mount Moriah is mentioned twice.----- once in Genesis 22.2 and again in Chronicles 3:1.
The Old Testament was published in English in 1609. The New Testament had been published in English in 1582. These versions were translated from the Latin of St Jerome 340 - 420 AD. He was fluent in Hebrew. Greek and Aramaic ---- but everyone spoke Latin in the Roman empire. This version has been used all over the world ever since --- except in England ----- since Henry 8th decided to be the head of the Church of England. His version was translated from Greek --- into beautiful English --- but the names of the books ----- and numbers of the psalms ----- were changed, making it difficult to learn Latin from this edition. There are now countless of editions in almost all languages, so confusion is not surprising.
St Jerome did not mention Mount Moriah by that name in Genesis 22::2 ---- but he did in Chronicles 3:1 (King James)
Gen 22:2 says "Take thine only begotten son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and go into the land of vision; and there thou shalt offer him as a holocaust on one of the mountains which I shall show thee".
Everyone agrees that this is where Jerusalem is built ---- and now there is archaeological evidence of the first temple built there.
Herod's temple was the second temple ------ destroyed by the Romans.
David did not build a temple. His son Solomon built a temple on Mount Moriah. The proportions of his temple, built on a flat threshing floor, are a very tight fit to be built on top of the first temple, whereas Mount Moriah, which is on the trade route on the Red Sea ---- is the strategically logical place to have lived at that time ----- to protect the land of Judea from enemies.
Mount Moriah, mentioned in the Quran, is near where the prophet Muhammad had lived ---- somewhere near Mecca.
Both of Abraham's sons were together to bury him when he died. They both fathered twelve tribes.
I am writing this two days after the feast of the archangel Gabriel who picked the right man to get rid of 365 "gods".
