Hi Veronica, I am back home and enjoying your review! I have once tried some Boy Smells and Zoologist fragrances while binge testing at a niche store a year ago, so I don't really remember much. I did not know Sephora sells them too. It has recently re-opened in the UK and I will check the website. Do you know if the April 14 is their US sales only or global?
@@Khaleesi_Of_Kittens hey there! I’ve never tried it but based on the main accords and notes Lemon, Bergamot, Lotus, Jasmine , Musk to name a few it sounds like a nice clean easy fragrance for the summer.

Thanks for the new fragrance roundup! I own Zoologist Bee for sentimental reasons: my dad was a beekeeper and Bee is the photorealistic smell of his honey extraction workshop. It captures the beeswax as well as the honey perfectly, so I tend to wear this when I have family events with my sisters. If anyone is a fan of the movie or book "The Secret Life of Bees" this scent captures the essence of that story.

I got a sample of snowy owl, and it had a strange effect on me. I burst out laughing every time I wore it. 😂
It’s just amazing to me how well the perfumer created the experience of a snowy owl and its habitat! I got bird feathers and a coolness, and the literal interpretation was just somehow hilarious to me! Though I loved smelling it, and it made me want to try more from the house ( which I haven’t yet), I didn’t necessarily want to wear it myself. I did smell really good on my dad though.

As a Canadian I have a few Zoologists on my list to try because they're a Canadian brand and I wanted to support. I first learned about Zoologists from Beauty Meow. I think the floral, lighter scents are the safest for me😅 Bee is definitely not on my radar. The only honey adjacent scent that I vibe with is Star Musk from Xerjoff. I love the artwork for this brand, too.
The artwork is soooo stinking cute! I just love it! 💖 But yes, maybe stick with the lighter safer bets! There are some pretty out there ones from this house. 😁😁😁

I did want to jump on here an mention I own a bottles of both Camel and Cow from Zoologist. And I wanted to mention my experiences with them!
Camel - I love this scent! What I get is very sweet dried fruits and incense with a sweet animalic backbone. I understand how the skank can be taken as urine/sweaty yucky bodies. this fragrance is NOT mass appealing and not safe at all. That being said, it is a beauty if you enjoy dried fruits and incense and I do encourage trying the fragrance for the experience alone if you have an advanced palette! I only wear this for my own enjoyment.
Cow - definitely more crowd pleasing and easy to wear. The word “pleasant” perfectly describes the scent! I would still advise people try before they buy anything from Zoologist as they are quite avant garde!

@@VeronicaSays Taunt is in the same vein (to me) as Clean Reserve Skin or Kayali Musk. A musky, skin scent with sweet vanilla and a touch of soft mint in the opening. It was the only one I had to get full bottle of from their sample set - def recommend trying it!

Bee is in my top 10 scents of all time. Beeswax and honey deliciousness! I need to try more from Zoologist; they have some unique fragrances (for better and for worse), and I agree that their artwork is amazing. I wish they would sell prints of them all! Wow, am impressed that you are talking about Zoologist Fragrances, my favorite house. I don‘t like Bee btw, AT ALL. Way too cloying for me. It‘s alos important to remember the animals‘ habitat is the inspiration, not the animal itself. So Cow is meant to be reminiscent of fields, grass, apple trees etc. I love that one and find it very wearable. Camel is one of my faves, and I get no skank at all in that one. Just delicious dried fruits, dates and warm cozy ambery woodiness. I own many full bottles from the line and some travels too, but there are a few I don‘t like. But generally I am always interested to see what Victor comes up with next. All his fragrances are artistic and unique and I love a good concept brand. So who will come up with Mythologist fragrances? Anyone?

I have the weirdest love/hate relationship with Coco Fleur. Smelled it in store on a paper strip first - loved it. Put some on my wrist and walked around - loved it. Bought the line sample kit and the travel spray. Smelled the sample just to make sure before I opened the travel spray - loved it. Opened the travel spray and threw away the box. Later tried the travel spray and HATED it! Smelled like something died in the bottle and I was actually going to throw it away but didn't just in case. When I sprayed both the sample and the travel space on a piece of paper the sample still smells much lighter and tropical and the bottle is much heavier. But now I kinda sorta like it so I'll keep playing with it instead of decluttering. Anyway, that's my story!

Great to hear your thoughts on the fragrances from these houses.
With Zoologist, I like Bee and have a bottle. It smells good layered with other fragrances as well. I just got Cockatiel which I found bright and uplifting in the opening, soft and powdery in the dry down. It's going to see wear when our weather finally starts to warm up. I have a long list of samples I want to try from them including Chipmunk, Cow, Nightingale and Snowy Owl. I think I will avoid the musky ones like Camel, Rhino, T-Rex, Bat, Seahore and any masculine leaning offerings. I did try Hummingbird but it wasn't for me.
I haven't tried Boy smells or Nette perfumes.

The only Boy Smells candle I have tried is Rosalita. At first it was super strong and I didn’t love it. After using it a few weeks it grew on me. Now that it’s almost gone, I’m a little sad. I’m curious to try more from this brand but am more interested in the candles than the perfume.
Regarding the Zoologist perfumes, I plan on getting a travel spray of Snowy Owl (owls are my favorite birds too). I tried it a few years ago and was intrigued. If I finish the travel spray I’ll consider a full bottle. Bee is delightful! My husband can’t stand it though 🤨

So happy to hear your thoughts on these brands. I got my hands on a few samples from Zoology, Bee which I found had a note of nutrionist store in addition to the honey and bee pollen. I tried cow and koala and they were good but enjoyed field mouse more which I considered buying a bottle. I heard they are releasing Tiger and that has got my interest. I think I am kinda with you about the pictures being well done. I want them for the animal drawing and the idea that the perfume is named after the animal... apparently right up my alley.. lol! I had no idea that is what I was into.

I adore the bottle art for Snowy Owl and was really looking forward to sampling it. Boy, was I disappointed; the fragrance really didn’t work for me and it dried to a rubbery scent that had to try to wash off.

Loved this! Appreciate you putting this out before the Sephora spring savings event too. I have been meaning to sample the nette line in advance of the sale. I have the discovery set for Boy Smells and I’m so glad to hear your thoughts. So far I’ve done a full day wear of hinoki fantome and cashmere Kush but both left a bit disappointed. Hinoki Fantome started strong and like a scent I am drawn to, but it didn’t last as I hoped it would. Maybe it is better as a candle fragrance.

Bee does not smell so much like honey to me, but smells like straight-up beeswax (pure beeswax candles) to me. I love it and it's a top 10 for me, but I don't think it is mass-appealing. To me it full-bottle worthy because it is unique. I have to laugh about your description of Camel, because that sounds like my nightmare! I love the artistry of Zoologist.

I find Zoologist intriguing! I have 10ml travel sizes of Cow, Chameleon and Nightingale. When we were in London last year I had the opportunity to smell T-Rex. 😳I’ll never forget that one. Holy moly! Smelled like gasoline and charred meat - basically “destruction.” Scared the crap out of my husband 🤣 Very cool house and I’m hoping to smell some of the newer ones soon. Great video as usual: I love these and the chance to hear you talk about new stuff.

Fun video! I also didn’t care for woodphoria…it dried down in a way that made me want to scrub it off immediately. All of Nette fragrances fell short for me in terms of projection and longevity and seemed to function like a body spray, although I thought they were all likeable scents. I’m intrigued to try zoologist owl now! I tried elephant and rhino before it scared me from wanting to try any other fragrances from the brand lol

Zoologist Chipmunk is a good one from the brand and I want to try Harvest Mouse. I heard about Nette on the Smell Ya Later podcast so it's good to hear from someone who has tried them, although I think I'll give them a pass for now.

The Zoology fragrances have always interested me. Awhile back many people were raving about Bee and one other that I can't quite remember at the moment. Would you say Bee smells anything like JPG Scandal?
Also, if you get the opportunity, Exit The King by Etat Libre d'Orange is a great one to test out. I saw the notes and thought "no way!" Boy was I wrong... It's so beautiful. I'm in love. 💜
I need to try some ELDO samples sometime soon. Bee has only the honey in common with Scandal in my opinion. Scandal is deeper and sweeter to me.

I was going to complain about how all these cool brands are never available on Sephora Canada, especially since Boy Smells is so hyped on TikTok, but it doesn’t sound like I’m missing out on a whole lot! Lol ..nothing really sounded like a must sniff to me 🤷🏻♀️ I’m sort of thinking of trying the new JHAG Lust for Sun during the Sephora sale, and maybe a couple travel sizes of Tom Fords I’ve been wanting, I don’t have any big plans for the sale yet tho. And yes I do like this type of video! 💞

The funk of 40,000 years 😂. Good on Zoologist for creating "out there" fragrances but personally I prefer more "in there" scents. Smelling like a subway doesn't sound too appealing to me. Give me a freshie any day!

I recently got some Zoologist samples, I really liked Harvest Mouse, but it was way too intimate for me to rush out and get. But Cocatiel... who on earth would enjoy this? To me it has a strong mackerel/caviar opening. Once you smell this you cannot unsmell it. The dry down is much more acceptable, but not worth the pain of wearing dead fish for hours.

I was actually really into the Boy Smells branding but I didn't like any of the scents at all. Cashmere Kush smelled like wet weed to me. Flor de la Virgen was the only one I kind of liked but I don't think I would get a full bottle of it.

LMBO at the Camel Subway scent! I hate that subway smell, I think it's an awful stinky smell, but my husband on the other hand actually likes the smell of subways, he says it's nostalgic for him. Think he would actually like that scent, me, no! Yuk! ;)
Haha! Yes, it is definitely a nostalgic smell for me too as I spent many hours in my youth riding those trains. But I had no desire to smell like that 😄
