Even if he used stooges? Because Ive been wracking my brain to figure out an alternative method for both of his final acts.
The other thing I loved about Shin on AGT is that he didn't put forth a sob or hard luck story for his appearance. It was mentioned on Penn & Teller's show but not AGT. While I don't think that should be a disqualifier, I think it goes to show that his appearances were all about his craft and what he can do...not about his story.
He did, but it never dominated him. He mentioned carpal tunnel, his childhood, Casey, etc. He's soooooo good at self-marketing...
Even when everybody on Champions was talking about their second chance and how heartbroken they were about losing he was talking about his fiance and how much she meant to him. Much deserved win.
Christopher Brian He did mention about severing his thumbs and all but he never milked it like other contestants do. He only talked about it briefly.

To attain that level of sleight of hand and the imagination required to make even a single unique trick is a very tough job. I was so happy that these talents were the final 2 and I didn't care about the final result then, because both of them are winners.

@@potachip1305 I agree. I don't think regular singing should be allowed on the show. It's a talent show, not a singing competition, seeing who was born with a better voice. It's not right for singers to go up against people like Shin Lim and Deadly Games who spent hours, days, no, weeks, practicing for the finals. And I think that's why he won. People want really enjoyable act to win, not a singer who has been touring the world. Very happy he won. He deserved it 100%! 😁😁😁

This is right after his win in 2018. He's gone through the immense amount of stress in 2018, and then the following year has to go through it again, only against other Champions. I can absolutely believe that the stress combined with shock made him drop to his knees.

Both of these preformemces shows great skills in their respective field.
Side note: acording to Cambridge University talent is not something you train. Talent:"a natural ability to be good at something, especially without being taught". This is why I refrained from using the word talent in my answer.

It is actually a tribute to SL that agt saw no need to use GB for him as it means they recognise he has the best of the world talent and have confidence the superfans will vote him into the finals.

I saw Shin Lim for the first time few years ago on "Fool us" so he became my very favorite magician. Once I saw he auditioned for agt I knew in that moment that no one could ever win over him, and here he is, winning twice and getting the world champion title, wow, congrats, hero, you deserve it, keep humble and great.

Don’t do Drugs because majority of the golden buzzers and contestants are singers. Singers usually win like 90% all the time in these shows
YESSSSSSS! This man received the call to perform in Champions ONE WEEK after season 13 ended and he accepted (see his Talent Recap interview)! Some may complain about him using parts of his past acts, but his choice to come back instead of walking away as a winner along with his outstanding ability to amaze and entertain makes him the true champion of champions. Well deserved and congrats on making history, Shin!

This was an extremely tight competition, the title could go to anyone at announcement night. This is actually the only AGT season where I liked the line-up of winners, like foreign Got Talent winners Christina Ramos and Kseniya Simonova coming in 3rd and 4th place. Preacher Lawson who was consistently funny and proved that a comedian can go father than anyone expects on such a big stage. Darci who stepped up her game big time, she totally smashed her performance and took ventriloquism on a whole new level. Shin Lim who is pressured to perform after winning only after a few months back, and actually giving an amazing performance nevertheless. This show was amazing, Shin Lim is both deserving and amazing at the same time. The other contestants were extremely tough competition.
Darci and Shin are my 2 picks. I'm happy to see both of them standing there in the end. Congratulation Shin. You are truly amazing and you deserve it. Congratulation to Darci also. You are extraordinary and you are also a winner to me. Whoever in both of you wins, I'll be happy. I wish best things would come to both of you in the future. Please always keep shining!!

Now that I think think about it, the golden buzzers actually didnt make sense for this season cuz most of those acts probably wouldnt get enough votes to even get to the finals.. so naturally the 5 acts that got voted to the finals would get more votes, and they were mostly top 5 (except for the sand artist which just proves how amazing she is). So a better way was to just send the 2 most voted acts from each episode to the finals, thats how everyone would have a decent chance of winning and not have the golden buzzer at all 🤷🏼♂️
Without the golden buzzers the judges would've had nothing to do but to watch and comment.
