Great presentation. One thing I’ve found for myself, and witnessed in others, that there is nothing like suffering trauma to cause a spiritual awakening. I’m sure there is an easier way, but some of us seem to chose a really powerful wake up call!
Brilliant talk, Peter thank you. Love the notion of pain and suffering are not the same thing. I am in strong pain due to toothache and as I was listening to your talk I realized that I am not suffering. In past this pain would turn into " OMG not again, why me, this weekend is now lost, did I have to be born in this little godforsaken Bosnian town that drinks water from 3rivers that have heavy industry upstream and most people have problems with teeth or some kind of cancer around their neck area" and so on. These days I have more acceptance in me, so I kind of a accepted that I am in pain at this particular moment, l take my meds, sleep, read, listening to Peter Woodbury talks on youtube, little bit cranky with my husband, but that could be his karma right ? :) and do not dwell on past, Anyhow thank you for the reminder, love all your talks and humor. Blessings from Melbourne
I think your statement comparing our relationship with God to that of child to his father and the anger children often display as a result of their immaturity and lack of understanding is so spot on. We really are such children in our journey here on Earth. We think we have all the answers and have tantrums or victories based on our very scant comprehension of our real purpose and goal here, when all the while God waits for our spiritual maturity as a wise and loving parent often does. Very well done, Peter, as usual.
I went through a period of profound unease about NOT getting the same parents next time. Silly of course, I got over it, surrendered to whatever the process will be.
Wonderful talk which will reach everyone who is open to learning. I feel when I listen to your lectures that they refresh the soul and always encourage contemplation as unfortunately, I am not perfect but a trier! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and Cayce's message, your personal references and great humour. Much gratitude as always...
"Judeo-Christian" is an oxymoron. They are fundamentally opposed. Rabbi S Wise, late Chief Rabbi of the US (didn't know there was one?) said: "The return from Babylon and the introduction of the Babylonian Talmud mark the end of Hebrewism and the beginning of Judaism." I don't know what translation of the Bible Cayce read, but it was probably the King James, whose translators made tens of thousands of translation errors. No distinction between "Jews", Judeans, Israelites, Hebrews. I can only speculate that this is in the category of not stirring the pot until certain events have unfolded. Hebraic-Christian and Judeo-masonic is more descriptive. (Henry Makow, ethnic Jew who believes Christian ethics are the way to go, calls Freemasonry "Judaism for gentiles".
We suffer because were idiots. Always making bad choices wrong decisions doing things we ought not be doing. Then spend our lives in pain and pointing the finger.
A reply to "appa": I tend to disagree, I don't think that's always the case, I think we learn our greatest lessons through challenges and suffering. Additionally, sometimes it may actually be that we are an example/lesson put in the path of others for them to learn from our particular situation-for their karmic learning, that's just another possible example, in my opinion.
God didn't create idiots. I like Eckhart Tolle's insight about "choice". The Cayce material is more meaningful to me than Tolle, but I'm weary hearing people parrot about "making bad choices".

Thank you!!!
Suffering is a natural part of the human experience. Do your best. It's enough. It doesn't last forever, like you do.😊
This is the most helpful comment I've ever come across. Thank you ❤️
