Hey it's John from Southern Ontario. Nice to see you. You asked at the end of your video if you have been of any help. All I can say is I intend to go to my creality print on my KMAX 5 and do what you did step by step until it's in my memory. I'm going to be printing thin wall printing for RC airplanes with active foaming PLA. Particularly the E-Sun as it is available at Amazon. Got my first roll for $40. So a million thanks I will give this a try tomorrow it's right now it's 11:30 at night so tomorrow we get at this and get it right. Happy printing.
Hi Bill, another interesting video nicely explained, thank you. Rounding down, I got a Max Flow Rate of 20.5, I have a Creality K, I'm slowly getting my head around the math lol. Thank you again for you taking time to make these terrific videos, with all the software updates and changes from time to time, it must feel a bit repetitive. Take care, from Perth Western Australia. Regards Gary.
It does get repetitive sometimes but I would rather provide a source for information over seeing people, especially the new folks struggling and getting yelled at in the online groups. Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching.
I really appreciate your videos. I really enjoy this hobby when things are going well. But, I really get upset and frustrated when prints fail without warning and with no explanation. I can always depend on your videos to help me through it.
I do it for each filament type and brand. For example, if I have PLA from two different manufactures, I'll do it for both of those brands. But when I buy more from those two brands, I don't have to redo the calibration since I already did it.
Hey Bill I'm getting very smooth nice looking prints and the only thing that remains to be seen is whether I am setting up my parameters properly for the parts that I am printing. Of course that has nothing to do with the quality of the print it just has to do with the quality of the fit that the flange just fit into the you know what like that. Just wanted to say thanks because I would have been foundering still. John from Ontario
Thanks for the update John, that is fantastic! Happy to hear that the prints are going great!!! Thanks for the kind words and thanks very much for watching!!!! Keep on printing!
Great instruction. I just changed from the stock .4 on my K1 Max to a .6 and never calibrated the flow. I use same profile with my new .63 line widths. If the nozzle is 50% bigger does that typically equate to a higher flow rate that before? My PLA is set at 23 stock hyper profile.
Thanks for these Video`s it helps alot. If you can do a video on PETG i would appreciate it. I just can`t seem to get it. It can be because i am trying on a smooth build plate, but i am really struggling with it.Or maybe share some settings, i have a k1c
Just an o servicing. When setting up the test, the last item is referring to a bed TEMPLATE, not bed temperature. The units are in mm3/s, not degrees, so it's printing at your standard filament temp.
Is the pla you use like a normal pla or hyper pla? I’m asking because I use Creality’s hyper pla and I’ve tried doing all the dialing in from your videos and I sometimes get different results and my quality doesn’t improve much from the original settings. I print very large models like a 3 foot long Venator Star Destroyer from Star Wars and even tho I paint them I like to not have defects in the large parts because the hyper pla is expensive. Also would like to add that your videos are extremely helpful, I just need to get better at dialing in
I start with the Generic PLA profile that is part of Creality Print. I save it as new profile name based on the Manufacture of the Material I'm using. In most videos it's FreMover_PLA. As I dialing things like temperature, flow, retraction...ect, I'll save those to my FreMover_PLA profile. I hope that helps!
@@pushingplastic7445 that does help, I was just wondering if the pla you use is like a standard pla or a hyper type. Ik hyper has to ability to print faster so I figured that’s something you use
@@GamingPanda5748 Regular PLA+. I have a lot of that in stock before a lot of these companies started making Hyper/High Flow filaments. As I use it up I'll probably move towards more Hyper but I'll still keep some regular PLA for my slower Ender printers.
@@pushingplastic7445 oh okay I understand ya. I use a k1c printer but I have an Ender 3 v3 se also, for the 3 would you recommend hyper or a standard pla for efficiency?
@@CaHeoMapMap hi, I’ve not had that problem, any changes I save , Creality print 4 , 5.1 or 5.1.6. I’m don’t know what could be causing this. Cheers, Gary 😊
Question have you tried the Special mode in Creality Print 5 Print Sequence (by layer is default and By Object is the other) Im trying it here tonight Ill report back.

@@garylester55 Yes I have that version.. Going to print my Benchmark on it before my Upgrade to a .6 ( my projects do not need the standard .4 going to get 2 A1's for that stuff) I really want to know how to increase the depth while I'm trying to do a multi print where I print an object multiple times but one at a time. And Im only getting around 2 inches of space.. Anyone know how to the space higher ? I can get 3 objects I want to print on the bed over 2 on the Bambu..

I get that! It's never fun when things go bad! I'll have some days where multiple printers seem to get an attitude and start failing at the same time!
very helpful thanks.
do you do this for each Filament type (ie...pla+ or silk) or for each roll of filament?
