Was it mentioned in any of the novels that it was the Dragon Emperor that summoned players? Or is that sourced elsewhere? Just asking because I've always wondered if we knew how players ended up there, and I don't remember it being mentioned in the novels. So I'm just wondering if I missed it.
There's this pretty neat theory that states that the Dragon Emperor wasn't trying to bring new and powerful beings to the New World. He was actually looking for ways to become stronger and (somehow) learned about the existence of Yggdrasil and World Items. So, by creating a powerful spell, his intention was to bring those World Items to the New World, but it went terribly wrong as it seeems the spell not only brought the WIs, but their wielders as well. This theory explains why sometimes a group of players is transported with their guild base and others don't, since there are WIs that are bounded with a Guild Base (like the throne Ainz uses in Nazarick).
But the dragon emperor is dead so what's bringing the rest of the players?
@@maqets1Well, I'm not sure if it's confirmed, but it is said that players that were at the end of Yggdrasil were all transported to the New World, just not at same exact time. If you pay attention there's always a ~300 (maybe 500, i can't really remember ) years gap between each group of player's arrival in the new world, so they're a actually coming in batches (this means Ainz will probably face more players in the future).
Also i don't think it's confirmed the Dragon Emperor is dead but idk, i read the novels so long ago lol.
@@Squarion-616 the gap between arrivals is 100 years. The 13 heroes amd minotaur sage is possibly a double arrival

World of overload is so fascinating, it really gives that 'isekai dark fantasy' vibes.
The 6 great gods werent just the first people to use tier magic they used a world item to rewrite the rules of that world and change the magic system to tier magic which is why only dragonlords born over 600 years can use wild magic and the ones born since then can only use tier magic not wild magic.
You are misunderstanding, 6 great god not change the rule of New World, it's 8 greed king they are the ones do that, and do many thing to whole New World so Ainz's job is much eassier now, 6 great god only use Tier Magic to protect human in the region they has been summoned so they just strongly impacted the region they are from, New World is just so large, We just in somewhere like western region of Europe, if anyone has influenced most in New World, definitely 8 great King
There’s also the language. Writing doesn’t get translated, but anything spoken gets auto translated. So either the Six Gods or 8 Greed kings used a world item to universal translate the spoken languages of the new world
@@Novumic As I said, New World is too large, and what make Overlord is so good that it's world buiding, currently Ainz and the Nazi just locate somewhere like western region of Europe, very small corner of New World, who know how long the players have infected the world, might even have ones come before 6GG

Oh man, the moment I heard Surshana had the same class as Ainz and living past their humanoid comrades, I thought they would somehow meet but got killed by the 8 greed kings. Any context what happened?
Eight Greed Kings happened. They conquered the world and killed anyone who's not human, including an undead player. Even if Surshana is lvl 100, they would be up against 8 players with a guild base.
So the story before Overlord actually started seemed WAY more exiting. Does Ainz ever encounter another actuall player? Or do he keep killing lv 1 NPCs in the starting zone?
Sadly no, there is no other player left alive at this point of the story, other than Ainz.
Nope, and by the time new players do come Ainz will be much more powerful than he is now. Due to collection world items, and due most of Nazerec having some form of age immortality, his armies won't weaken much. And he'll continue making more high ranking undead everyday. So in 100 years when the next batch of players arrive, he'll have a good chance of beating them if they attack, even if it's like a batch of level 100 players.
Not to mention, his world class item is one that increases in power as time goes on. Making him truly OP
@@gamingoverlord8854I don't think ainz will ever encounter another batch of players since the game they were all coming from is now gone. Ainz was the last one.
@@pokefan34567 The players all come in batches about every 100 years, yet there is no way the game was out for 300+ years when the first players came. I think all the players we see teleported to the world were all there when the game was shut down. We'll see new players every 100 years until all of the players that were present at shut down are in the world

What i always wonder its if those players that lived before Ainz arrival were as high level as him or if they were nearly as powerfull or more than him, since i dont recall anything that established that ainz was a "powerful" player or just a regular guy in Yggdrasil. Also, there is this thing of players being "teleported" into the new word, but Ainz didnt get there like that he just kinda got "stuck" into the game (?)
They all have World Items, so they have to be all level 100
The other overlord had to be lvl 100 due to also having "The Goal of All Life is Death"
They could be weaker due to lack of expansions that simply didn't exist in their time but it's pure theory.
The fact Eight Greed Kings defeated other Dragon Lords plus a guild base, they're at least lvl 100 since they kept dying and losing levels until other DLs oveprwred them. In Yggdrasil, penalty for fying is as bad as losing at least 5 levels.

Just reading a bit about the Slane Theocracy made me realize how awfully wrong i was... Overlord story is extremely deep... is it really only going to be 5 seassons in the anime?... like the next seasson is the end?.... are there going to be spin offs? or something... i think Overlord can give so much more.... it has a lot of lore

Most games have major Updates every 2 months. Those 2 months in regular world are maybe 200 years in the New World and since the game META changes every update the first players/guild to dominate the META are the ones transported to the New World explaining the gap between each batch of players. Just my silly theory. There's some questions still but i have no more braincell functioning.

The death knight was found on the Katze plains. Undead in the New World spawn in areas where a lot of people have died, like former battlefields, but for stronger undead to spawn in such a way is rare. Fluder had to fly and bombard the death knight with fireballs for hours in order to capture it.

Death Knight is level 40 with level 35 attack and level 45 defense.

Nope, there is no other player left so far.
So that Death Knight that was captured? Was the other Overlords' ? Because this happened before Ainz.
He was naturally spawned in the New World.
You see, Undead naturally spawn in the New World in a places where a lot of dead reside such as graveyards and battlefields.
For example in Katze Plains (place where Ainz destroyed Re-estize army) many undead spawn frequently because it was a place of battlefield between Re-estize Kingdom and Baharuth Empire.

@@oddersisadog I think Ainz stated the average death knight he spawns is level 30. And we know some of the heroes in the world now are in the 40s (some of the blue rose members, with evil eye being possibly 60) so it is possible that there are people who could subdue and capture one. In S4 before Pandora's Actor as Ainz fights PDL's remote armor, we see two deathknights get taken out.

Yep, they are both Eclipse classes as well.
They are both Overlords and have a rare class called "Eclipse".

According to Rigrit, he died fighting Evil Deities.

It's never outright stated, but it is *heavily* implied by both his son, Platinum Dragon Lord, and another True Dragon Lord, Elder Coffin Dragon Lord, that the appearance of players are his fault
In the Light novel platinum dragon Lord states that the players are the filth of his father, which implies he was responsible for summoning them

Im confused tho, does the time in the new world pass way faster than in real life? Cuz in the new world, centuries passed between the arrivals of new players. Meanwhile irl we can assume it was just months or years. Also, we dont know if Ainz was the only one summoned at that time, there could have been some others
The players are summoned in the New World all at different intervals. So there is the possibility of a player or a guild coming to the New World after Nazarick.
Yeah, Ainz may be the last player in Yggdrassil, but the spell for summoning players may well take players from the past and send them on a later date in the New world.
What? That canon info what playerd was summoned to New World and that was father of PDL? And i know it but Overlord lore quite rich, not in sence of amount of information, but in terms of what New World have quite long history and there was at least few world changing events which changed world for minimum not less than Ainz at latest point, sometimes more, maybe even far more. Its easy to explain cause 6 players +- of Ainz level(Six Great Gods), maybe someone even stronger(Ainz was far from strongest in Ygdrassil in pvp) with their powerful created non player characters, its like 5 or even 6 Nazarics in total power scale, it some another dimension of being OP, even Ainz and Nazarick didnt stood a chance against such power. 8 players(Eight Greed Kinds) which still didnt have official info about their power, but according to theories or semi-official rumors they 100 lvl players with power like weakest Ainzs guardians or at least 80-85 levels players, and its extremely solid force in New World. Even Evil Deities it several players with +- 60-65 levels(like Naberral Gamma), 7th tier magic or equal martial arts, is like very dangerous, at least continent threat level in that world which was defeated mostly cause PDL armor avatar and Eight Kings items PDL gave to 13th heroes. It would be so nice to see that faithful and huge events before that pathetic, cynical, lucky bastard and maniac Ainz came here. RIP Re-Estees and Holy Roble Kingdoms
I dont know if the 6 god of Slane are all players though. What if they are just NPC, stick to the idea that the player give them since a lot player used to play human race and bully other race player. NPC are often very much alike with their creator so maybe the six god are just NPC that stuck with the thought to protect humankind, that's why they was mainly stay within human border and not affect the new world too much like eight king.
