This is the song that always makes me feel happy to be alone.
I'm not good with isolation and being home alone makes it hard for me to focus or function. But this song helps. I can't tell you why, but it does.
I could listen to this on an endless loop forever.

Love the strings! Personally, I prefer this piece being played slowly -- it's beautiful and the slower it's played the longer it lasts -- since you asked for feedback. :) Thanks for posting this beautifully done version.
I agree. I think it's played beautifully, but it should be played slower. And personally, the strings should be in a lower volume, so the piano is the main instrument.
I agree ... It was played much slower in a video I saw online ...... It was so captivating and soothing.

I love this version. Music in a sense can be compared to poetry. Different Styles of reading and putting stress on different syllabubs will definitely change the meaning.If we all read it the same there will be no need for commentary or opinions. I feel that that your piece gives a feeling of escape or revelation. While the original makes a sorrowful & being cast away feeling. Still, there is reverberation, not because it is a cover,but because you understood the original.Just saying,thanks :)

Thanks for your comments. Actually, the orchestration was meant to cover up my sloppy playing:) Meanwhile I've taken a solid piano course at a music college and things got noticeably better:) You can also check my electronic work at soundcloud. Just look for Iceland Forever there or add /iceland-forever to the site's address:) Lots of strings, some piano, distorted guitars and odd trip-hop beats. Hope you'll like it:)

Beautiful! I'd prefer a slower version too but & the piano was a bit 'tinkly' but it worked, just felt a little "lighter". And the cello was perfect.
