This is exactly what a good relationship should consist of, trust and support. I’m sure Desi and Mac’s relationship was similar in some way, but this is a perfect example of going through shared trauma and building a foundation before realizing how much you care about each other. The writer really slow burn us and keep giving them some random couple each season. And MacRiley, I got no idea on how in the world they suddenly become a couple. No process, no stories, no tension, lack of moments then suddenly BAM, they're a couple.
