These two compliment each other in so many ways, they trust and believe in each other. A couple has to have more than just the “hots” for each other to solidify a long term relationship. I don’t particularly see even the “hots” between Mac and Desi-just something convenient so as not to be alone. There is not much else going on. Mac and Desi have not developed anything enduring. However much has developed over time with Mac and Riley.
This comment exactly. I feel like Desi and Mac are also forced. And yeah goes with what u said about being together just not to be alone. Yet Riley and Mac could get together the endearment between the two is definitely there. The bond that’s been built since season 1. If anything aside from Jack, Riley is the person who knows Mac the best and has known the longest. Desi came in season 3. But Mac and Riley have 2 seasons already knowing each other and building that bond. All I’m saying is why try to force chemistry between Desi and Mac when u already had chemistry between Riley and Mac and still do.

@@EB4714 I do like Desi as a character and part of the team, but she is not the right woman for Mac. A relationship is built on respect and trust. And be there for each other through thick and thin. While Desi and Mac's relationship may have worked at the beginning, she is more and more distrustful of Mac. The time when everyone - including Desi - believed that Mac betrayed the Phoenix Foundation is a good example of this. Only Riley believed in Mac's innocense and even helped him to try and defeat Codex from the inside out. Mac and Riley trusted each other immensely from the moment they met and their bond appears to continue to grow to this day. During their mission in Germany together, Riley started to realize that she is starting to fall for Mac, even though it was revealed that she started a relationship with Aubrey and even lived with him for 6 months. As a man who has the 'hots' for Asian women, I do agree with you that the actress who plays Desi is a very beautiful woman, but so is the actress who plays Riley. The both are awesome...But judging from what I said, I have to pick Riley over Desi.

I thought they got back together in the car in the last episode?? Honestly I don’t like him and desi, they may have physical chemistry but they don’t know how to just BE around eachother. They are both very independent alpha types so it will literally never work. Mac and Riley always seemed like brother and sister to me but recently im seeing their relationship as so tender and loving and not like brother/sister anymore. I really think they would be a cute couple.

I always like them but I was never desperate for them to get together but in the end of season 3 and in season 4 I really need them to get together they are perfect. Better than him and Desi I didn’t like her at the start but is growing on me but her and Mac shouldn’t be together.

@@EB4714 I never said he would cheat on her I think that they should break up and it not that I don’t like her it’s just I think that Mac and her relationship is only good when they are high on Adrenaline. And she thought that Mac saw guilt and I kind of feel like it is being pushed maybe next season they might have more chemistry but right now I hope that in season 6 or 7 Mac and Riley’s chemistry is shown more.

This is definitely wishful thinking...they're not even close to being a couple on the show...and those few awkward expressions don't count either (and besides, in real life Tristin doesn't even like white guys. So that spoils it for me right there). Mac needs to stay with Dezi
Agree to disagree. Those awkward moments are indications that Riley likes Mac and I do not think they aren't close to being a couple. When Mac kissed Desi and Riley looked away, that was a sign that she has feelings for Mac. I do not know about Mac but she definitely feels something. But again...this is my opinion.
@@thenicolehale I'll give you that. The writers are probably trying to stir something up, inject some new 'life' into it...give the series a new direction to go in the romance dept. Who knows, maybe alot of fans are writing into the show asking for Mac and Riley to eventually become a couple. I hope it doesn't happen though, to me Mac clicks better with Dezi (even though she is a bit older)

@@thenicolehale I'm still a fan of the show mainly cuz I was such a huge fan of the original 80's version. To be honest, i'm surprised this new reboot of MacGyver is still on and hasn't been cancelled yet. I mean, the ratings can't possibly be that great right? But i'll still watch it though : P
@@corkydukeII5898 I have no idea but I love the show.My father used to watch the old MacGyver when I was just a kid and I used to watch it with him.I liked it but I think I like the reboot better. I think it's quite interesting, and plus Lucas Till is one of my favourite actors. I really hope that it will be renewed for season 5.
