Great lesson my brother…..quick and straight to the point …for those learning notice these are the same chords for Tennessee whiskey ….shows the relationship between beautiful songs🙏🏾🎤🎹
Absolutely love this! I came across it as I was looking for a piano tutorial for I wanna get next to You by Rose Royce but there's nothing online that I can find. Maybe you could do one in the future? 🤞🙏 #newsubscriber
I feel like it hits the V chord on the last bar before it resolves to the I - maybe the bassist is outlining that? Is it possible it's more of a subtle I-ii-V that just pure I-ii? Like the chord under the lyrics "When I saw you..." around the 1:28 mark. I feel like I hear it in this live version: ruclips.net/video/QDc3Ww-2X70/видео.html
Yes there was a simplicity in the original recording but I can imagine playing it live will allow musicians like yourself and I to expand on those progressions because you can go so many places with the space that was created in the original
It might be confusing when you switch key signatures in your tutorial.. in other words, in the key of A major has 3 sharps, yet you refer to C sharp as D flat. Just sayin'
Came for the lesson, stayed for that sultry, soulful vocal!
Wow just wow you are so awesome thank you

Whoa! That’s exactly right. And the kicker, they sound like and are two totally different songs
None of this is true...way to much talking.
This might as well be the same progression for "Tennessee Whiskey!
You got it, good ear
And same rythm pattern: 6/8!
Your presentation of piano lessons and your simplification of the songs make your lessons truly memorable, love your style brother!

So during the Bm7 chord the right hand is not playing the B note and leaves it for the left hand?
Absolutely love this! I came across it as I was looking for a piano tutorial for I wanna get next to You by Rose Royce but there's nothing online that I can find. Maybe you could do one in the future? 🤞🙏 #newsubscriber

@@karlismusik thanks for the reply! I guess when you have Etta James singing, you really don't need much else.
Only 2 chords 😮……i‘m teaching my self piano and chords and these hole Stuff. I will try it…….“
Can you do the entire song?
I just might do a reboot of my Cover Tune Friday series and add this one to the list

Yeah I know but the same note right. I think that’s all that matters cuz feeling has no language
