- A run through of how I installed a center console in my regular cab f150. Center console pulled out of a crew cab. This installation covers item numbers and procedures for an f150 with an 8” screen. Slightly different parts and part numbers for anyone with a 12” screen. Install should be very similar. Enjoy
Just so you know, you can add the 12 inch screen along with the digital cluster, my cousin has it added to his single cab and looks cool at night

I just finished this same refit and wanted to share a couple of things - but first thanks for this video it was extremely helpful. I installed the console in a crew cab F150 - so I had a little more room to work with. I didn’t need to unplug the passenger seat just unbolted it and moved back. I did hook up the air duct to the console since it has back seats. You have to cut the carpet up to get to the ductwork but it’s covered up. The trim removal tools are a must as I am pretty sure if you tired using a screwdriver you would end up snapping something. Took me about 3 hours total. And only one trip to the store.
Is there a duct peice you needed to connect?
@@jasonsmith5447 In my situation yes - the jump seat doesn't have rear vents so it routes the air ducts under the driver/passenger seat. The console does have rear vents (Crew cab truck) so I had to cut a piece out of the existing under seat duct to connect the console duct. It came with an adapter piece. Had to cut the carpet and about 10 inches of plastic duct. But the console covers it all up.
This is actually good a lot of people right now are doing this with these single cabs new gen f150s swapping parts from the interior from the platinum , raptor and so on to the exterior as well

Ford should make the center console an option for all trims of the F-150. The base XL regular cab does not even have an armrest with a storage under it , it's under the center seat.

Nice job, I put a center console and floor shift in my 18 regular cab. It looks like it was very similar.
Have loved all my regular cab trucks from ford. My 97 and 12 had the fold down seat. I was so, so with it in 2012. Now after having a 17 with the flow through and shifter, I love it. Wish ford would at least offer this setup as an option. Hell, just a floor console would be nice. Come on ford...

My trucks are all v8 super charged. Which makes it even more fun to drive.

If I remember right, I had taken out the passenger front seat to install the consul. When I reinstalled the front seat, I did not have the plug underneath the seat in all the way. I believe the little latch wasn’t down all the way, and that was causing the airbag light to come on. Good luck.
Wish i had 1/2 the patience you do lol , Id probably completely lost my cool trying to do something like this.

I’m actually looking into getting a single cab first I wanted a 19 but when I saw the 22-23 I liked the new design and the front end and interior but this would probably be one of the first things I would do to it but I would look for a Shelby or King Ranch Interior and then a Whipple sc nice video

Looks good I am wanting to do this to mine, I’m curious about the rear ac vents if there is a way to tie them in.
I’m sure there’s an internal ducting the crew cabs have under the console. I never looked into it as I don’t see it being necessary to have rear vents

Great job, and very well done .. however, I want to get the wiring harness on the center console to work/connect and have them plugs function .. but the original plug is different from the center console wiring harness .. is there a connector or a suitable solution to this ?

Just did this on my XL truck but I am curious how did you get the center clip for the usb c and a in? If you rmeove it you lose the console light.

The center seat is noticeably heavier. More than twice as much.

great work. your car has the center console with a steering column shifter. I think this is not an option for a new custom f150.

No I didn’t try. It would just be blowing on the back section which I don’t see being necessary

It’s an XLT. came with carpeting

@@udtnpossibly out of a previous xlt regular cab from ford. Or a totalled crew cab at a scrap yard. You’d just need to cut it

Did you have the middle seat belt light come on after the swap? I am having this issue.
I did not have any seat belt lights.
This looks good, but could have saved a lot of tear-up by just using a console that doesn't attach to the instrument panel. I have such a storage console with cupholders molded in on my old Ford truck, which has a manual transmission shifter coming up through the floor in front of the console. I'm sure there are replacement consoles like what mine has that would fit newer trucks.
I’m sure plenty of options out there. Wasn’t much tearing into at all. I wanted it to look factory
after the swap, when you started your truck did any warning lights come on? I just removed my jumpsuit and after starting the truck the airbag light came on?
No airbag light for me. No lights at all

It's really too bad there's no bucket seat+console option for the regular cab. I recently test drove a a couple f150s, one supercrew with front buckets and the other an xl with bench. I'm a big guy and the dashboard has the shape that would flow to the console even though there's not console. So there's a very uncomfortable edge that pushed into my shin. But with the center console, it's not uncofmrtale because it's just the side of my leg up against the flat of the console. But a single cab XLT vs the lowest trim that can get buckets (plus all the other options I would want) is a difference of like $11-12k, to more than a comprarbly equipped double cab chevy rst 6.2:

yes it does, every single interior piece is the exact same. even the tail lights fit in the 21-23 from the 24. they’re the same truck just with a face lift
Can you explain what you did in place of the console shifter?
My truck has a steering column shifter. So I had to find a center console without a shifter

They come out if crew cabs. I chose to stick with column shift so this center console came out if a column shift xlt or higher trim 2021 and newer

I believe even xlt and higher trims have it. I didn’t want to do a console shifter so I found this center console that was originally column shift
Not sure why this was recommended to me as i’m not a ford guy but you did a good job, looks great. I really hate the jump seat in my ram as i have no use for it and it’s just ugly. Will be installing a center console soon.
How much was the dash trim piece you used and where did you find it?
It was about $106. You can find it anywhere online. Just use the part number I posted

I never got a seatbelt warning
What is the length on the mounting bolts you were talking about . I got M6 1.0 ?
I believe I chose 25mm length. Coulda gone shorter
