I'm always impressed by those who can go into tests assuming nothing will be wrong. I'm the opposite - I always assume the worst. The only upside of this catastrophisation is that when nothing is wrong I feel immortal, and when something is actually wrong I'm not even slightly shocked .. haha!
wow, if only countries across the world took health care so seriously to have such quick testing etc! also, im always in awe when people say they've gone months or even years before diagnosis. Its always my first thought when im sick whatever it is! 😂
It is not only Dubai that moves quick when breast cancer testing. I got my mammo, ultrasound and biopsy the same day and place. This was in Boise Idaho. I don'tknow why Americans always bash our country.
My sister-in-law is in Twin Falls Idaho and was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in March. She has received the best care imaginable, and we are all thankful she is not in CA anymore🙏🏻
I waited 1 week for mammo, another week for ultrasound, then one month for my first biopsy, then two weeks for my second biopsy before I could go on with my treatment. I am in San Francisco Bay Area. I called every medical imaging facility within 100 miles, all backlogged. I was not able to move forward fast at all - some people in my cancer support group have had the same experience.
because not all locations are created equal. It might be good care in the state and place you are at, but in another state that patient might not be so lucky as you were. Every state is different and have their own set of laws, rules, and mindset.
@@kathyarnusch7614me too, 5 radiation sessions, but my lymph nodes were clear. I think once it’s in the lymph nodes then you get chemo. On Anastrozole now.

I can’t ever understand how anyone could leave it to the doctors!
In the uk the 'fast track' appt for scan is 2 wks! Then prob another wk for results, its soooo slow
I loved using cold capping and it saved a lot of my hair. It definitely thinned out but it was worth it.

I live in Houston, this is the norm at major medical centers - no waiting. Wishing her good health.
