So upsetting how she was brushed off by her doctor I’m so glad this channel posts a ton of videos to educate all of us to listen to our instincts!!! She should not have been brushed off for. Year !!!
Thank you for sharing your story! 48 year old Latina here, and we are a very underrepresented community when it comes to this! Please stay strong and bless you!
What a wise young woman you are. I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this. I had stage 3c ovarian cancer at 47 years of age, and just in January of this year, at age 64, was diagnosed with stage 0/grade 1 breast cancer. While cancer does change us, I’ve always felt I’ve got far more from the experience than was taken from me. I continue to try to grow and learn, as you are doing, as this is a journey, not an event. All the best to you - and happy travels in the future.
I am also 34. I was just diagnosed on 11/21/2024 with TNBC-Stage 4-Inflammatory. Start my first chemo, AC, tomorrow. It is crazy how much it is happening younger and younger.
I wish that doctors realized that breast, colon, and other cancers can affect young people too. Too many young people get brushed off. We should all know possible symptoms regardless of age and advocate.
this is absolutely heartbreaking, all the best to you, may you live to be old&grey!! your have an amazing & positive spirit, prayers up for continual healing❤️ these flippin doctors being dismissive is downright OUTRAGEOUS. every time I hear of this AGAIN & AGAIN it makes my blood boil. we know ourselves the BEST, its frustrating & irritating but we HAVE to NEVER back down and continue to be our own advocates
Dearest Nina, I am so sorry that your 1st Dr failed you. You can report them you know. My heart breaks listening to your story. I can relate a most of what you are saying. I got treated for stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma. Was rough. Sending you a gentle hug miss Nina, I will keep you in my prayers🫂🙏
We are our own advocates with our health. We know our bodies no matter what age. I am a breast cancer survivor, radiation and double mastectomy. Thank you for sharing your story and God bless you.
I was diagnosed at 36 my your story is chillingly similar to mine. My 1 yo saved my life she stopped nursing and would always have to hold the “owie boogie” she would say 😭😂 my Dr blew it off 6 months later I was stage 3 breast cancer. These Dr’s need to stop gaslighting and ignoring us. Our bodies are letting us know something is wrong! Thank you for sharing your story
Thank you for sharing. I have had a firm hardening in my left armpit for about a year that I know of. I can't feel a lump in my breast, but I will go get my mammogram after hearing this.
And if you have dense breasts (many women, especially young women, have dense breasts), get a breast ultrasound, too, because mammograms don’t always pick up cancers in dense breasts.
@ especially lobular breast cancer because it doesn’t form lumps but spreads like a spider web.. dense breasts cause it to be found typically stage 3 or 4… Aunt was lobular stage 4 de novo and I was luckily found stage 2…
Oh my gosh it should have been addressed on that first doctor visit!!! Im noticing a pattern in these ladies shares!!! How about medical prevention before advanced disease from these medical people!! Advocate for yourself as she finally got around to sharing! Im returning to her share now!😢
@@ThePatientStory Physicians ego or so more monies are made for treatment that ugh My recent medical experiences leave no room for doubt they the medical industry does not care assembly lines of non medical care!
Nina, you are a very thoughtful person and you are brave. I love all the photos of you as you underwent treatment. And you have a positive way of talking about your future. Best of luck and hope you can do some travelling in the future. You rock.
May God continue to bless youbon your journey. Continue to fight hard, I lost my both my Mom and my baby sista to Cancer within 3 months of each other. They both fought so hard, but it wasn't meant to be. I love hearing about other people's successes. Only wish they could have made it thur. I'm thankful you❤
What if they diagnosed her cancer, a year earlier? Less chemo, no chemo, no radiation, no surgery, only surgery, what? I wonder why they never talk about that, to spread awareness and ask pressure. Less pain, less risk, less side effects, but at the same time, less money for doctors and pharma companies. I can guess the reason.
How about more of a chance to survive? The earlier your breast cancer is diagnosed, the greater the chance it's curable. It's really sad that young women are often not taken seriously when they find a breast lump. I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer and I'm cancer free 32 years later.
Hi Nina...thanks for sharing your story...good to know that we are not alone in this...please continue being brave and I'll pray for healing for all of us🙏....just curious on how you got into the NED....what medications are you on?
What I want to know is after your diagnosis of Stage 4 what did the original doctor who told you it was nothing have to say for themselves. Did you at least get an apology?
I heard you say there was a strip of hardness, later you said the lump got bigger.I had a tumor under my armpit 1centimeter.There was thin line of dark skin also 02/20.

Are Latina women differently built?
Sadly, you ARE!
Non-Latina woman here blown off by 2 Dr.'s and finally the 3rd did the correct test and found my cancer. Thankfully I was persistent.
Please don’t ever forget that there are programs everywhere that kick in to help minimize expenses!
thank you for listening to her story!

wow- so glad your child helped discover it!
Stay strong, im sorry you were told that you were too young. ❤❤❤
Insane! I know of a woman who was 18 and died at 25.
glad she finally found a medical team to help her!
Thank you for sharing. I have had a firm hardening in my left armpit for about a year that I know of. I can't feel a lump in my breast, but I will go get my mammogram after hearing this.
Hi do u feel any pain? Hardening like marble or pea size? I have been swollen bilateral on axillary lymph nodes.
Do it!!! Breast cancer survivor here. Anything under your armpit, around your clavicles and breast bone along with breast lumps are concerning!!!!!
And if you have dense breasts (many women, especially young women, have dense breasts), get a breast ultrasound, too, because mammograms don’t always pick up cancers in dense breasts.

Make sure you tell them
Your attitude is everything! May you be blessed with great health the rest of your life. ❤

Unless you are rich, all one can do is wait on the system as it plays Russian roulette with your life. 😳
❤❤❤❤ you're such a beautiful strong lady

The problem is they're only giving mammograms to women who are 40 and over. The age needs to be dropped down to 25.
@@19th-Nervous-Breakdown Totally agree, you are right. So many lost their lives, it’s so sad and unfair.
@@19th-Nervous-BreakdownGreat news blessings to you
@19th-Nervous-Breakdown I was diagnosed 31 yrs.ago too as an early stage breast cancer pt.,but it recurred a couple of times.
I am a breast cancer survivor I,wish you all the best also has anybody commented that you have a likeness to Amy Wynehouse❤
Thank you for this video. I wish you everything good.
Are there really that many clueless doctors??? So many times I read that the doctors did not believe the person could have cancer.
Used to be extremely rare. Before a few years ago...
It's most likely the insurance companies trying to avoid paying for the "next steps" in testing
You are such a beautiful soul ❤
8 cm is huge..how could that be missed anyway?..
.
She stated she waited a year,I believe after she had seen a Dr.
best wishes ❤👍
