If I'm going to use just 1 color for all the stitches, I would likely use the second stitch order. If I'm going to use 2 colors, I would use the long line stitches. I might do this stitch pattern someday, but I am just getting started in all of this.
Overtime, you will probably find the way which is easier and efficient for yourself. It may be different to how I stitch but that’s also totally fine😊❤️
I'm also wondering, if one wanted to stitch two colors, if one could just do columns of the lines going in similar directions, but go vertically, in a sort of snake path; you would only need to jump a small distance from the end of the third line, to the start of the next one in a row; this would also require that you map it out a little more carefully, or tie off at the end of each column when you reach the top; then you can just do the opposite ones in a similar manner. So all the ones going in a 45° would be done in one color, and then all the ones going in -45° would be the other color; it would require more tying off, but might be a way to do a two color pattern without the wrinkling you noticed from the first method. I would have to test it out to see how it would work, which I have a piece I wanna do anyways, so I might just try it out.
That’s interesting! Let me know how it went when you’ve tried it👍 I’ve also made this video showing two different ways to stitch Bishamon Kikkou💕 Let's try and stitch a tricky Sashiko pattern! Bishamon Kikkou ruclips.net/video/gUdMDr-ineA/видео.html
Thank you for the question😊 I just made a video about the tools I’m currently using. It shows the products clearly. I hope this will help you💕 Sashiko tools and materials I'm currently using - March 2024 - ruclips.net/video/0sILBEK9JvI/видео.html

What pen/pencil are you using for drawing the pattern on the fabric? Thanks

I wish I could do as many stitches in one go.....still practicing but it is taking time and at my old age everything seems to take more time.⏲
It does take some practice but I think it’s totally fine to stitch little by little with your own pace😊
