I love this version of Go The Distance including Michael Bolton's version in the end credits. I not only listen to this song because of this movie but also when i think of my favorite superheroes for today like my brother's favorite Batman and The X-Men and my favorites like Superman, Spider-Man, Aquaman, Judge Dredd, Doctor Strange and The Silver Surfer. Silver Surfer later betrays Galactus because he realized that he was helping hurt people and join Earth's heroes. His story is more sad then Batman's because he has to surf around in Space and not live a happy life so he's a sad character to be.

It could be because I was binge watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel at the time I found this version, but Ricky Martin looks a lot like David Boreanaz in this video.
I only found out this existed because Hurricane Maria obliterated a family's house and so they just moved to Florida and one of them got a job at my store and told me that all of the Disney movies have totally different voice casts over there and Ricky Martin voices Hercules. He applied for Amazon when a new DC opened up and got back to back promotions and now makes 'buy a house' money. Going the distance indeed.
Ricky Martin is more fitting because he's closer to the same age as the main character in the movie than Michael Bolton is. Michael is great nonetheless. I guess Michael Bolton is like "future Hercules" singing about the story of his past.
