Play at 1.75 speed and it's pretty close to the right frame rate.
Judging by the AA arrangement on the quarterdeck, with a gallery of 20mm with a 40mm mount right next to them, I'd say this ship is probably USS Massachusetts.
Very cool
Just revealed that the OS2U was so very underpowered
I often wonder how it managed to stay airborne with the drag of that huge float, and the little, two blade propeller.
Interesting shot of the damaged Corsair landing on the USS Wasp.
very cool, thanks
Anyone know the speed the ship had to reduce to in order to launch?
0 speed...thats why it was called a catapult
The faster the better for the ship, as this will give more lift possible to the Kingfisher, and the ship should be heading into the wind.
Back in the days before helicopters and jump-jets.............
