Great day of detecting mate , awesome and well done. Very nice bullion mold you've made with your logo , bloody beautiful indeed. I like my 18x12 mono for general and tight scrub, some spots I go I have to use the 14x9 mono due to very tight scrub , both coils are perfect for sneaking under shrubs etc with good pinpoint accuracy. Still use my 24" mono UFO coil for more open areas . My 14" mono elite is perfect match for gridding a patch with excellent sensitivity, perfect match with my GPX 4500 stock machine without modifications done. Love the videos mate , gives me an excellent look at the ground types you have over there compared to the ground type over here in the WA goldfields. Best regards mate ,cheers , beers and keep on detecting and making plus having fun while recording on video.
Hello Rick, oh thanks so much mate, love this comment. Just a pleasure to read. Very fun doing that design work then the final product in the mold. I also made a perfect gold cube based on 19.3gcm3 an actual 31.103 g or ounce in a cube is 11.724mm3 - fun stuff. Oh wowo yeah amazing how we all have various ways and coils to work for us in any given location. She surely is a good all rounder that 14 Elite. Glad ya like the Vids and its a pleasure sharing with you all.
I've never poured gold, but have made 1000s of bullets in lead. I had similar pour marks when I first started. The main reason is the metal cooling too quickly before it has chance to "settle" in the mold. This has only 2 causes, material is not hot enough when poured and/or the mold is not hot enough. Don't be to quick to pick it up and quench after pouring. Looking at the vid, you seem to be using enough flux as the issue is pour marking not "crap". :) Again a great vid, thanks T.
Hey hey J.S many thanks mate, yeah had the feeling it was the mold, nah she's certainly hot after melt. When the gold melts at 1060c I leave it heat for a little longer. Not bad after few attempts, I will nail a perfect pour haha. The mold is probably only 400c which is way too cool hey, but better than first couple attempt mold was cold. Fun doing it and cant wait to share again. Thanks for your help ;)

M.G one thing that I've noticed watching ýa video's is that you tend to find more gold around the base of tree trunks.ìve even seen it in other gold vids.
Hi Locky, yeah doesnt mean much cause the golds been there for longer than most trees in the goldfields. Some say it drops out behind them from water some say trees bring gold up as they grow which I do believe that one for sure. Lately some more recent ones have been closer to trees but in the areas its quite dense and trees every 5 meters. ;) Just look everywhere hey mate ;) Thanks again
Oh thanks so much Locky, much appreciated mate, Just lovely when its semi purified. Even know Aus Gold is the most purest still looks great and we lose sweet bugger in the removing impurities hey.
Bahaha LOL maybe many more skills as well. Just amazing finds and loved doing that gold melt. Haha in the draw, damn it sorry Chappo its been won already. As always enjoy ya week
19 is a great coil. Awesome sensitivity and excellent depth. Does what its suppose to do but I think better. Its heavy but nothing a good bungee wont fix, actually we connect our bungee below the adjuster and it helps so so so much even with the 14 coil.
Thanks for the reply MG. I have a hip stick that takes some of the weight off by back/shoulders and I have the bungy looped around the handle if that makes sense. I need to do some experimenting with the 19" and see if I can find some deeper targets. Might have a crack on the weekend. Cheers ☺
Yep sure do. I done a full 3 videos on the processes but not on RUclips. Actually the IR Temp gun is kind of useless because it overloads at 400c - from stone cold crucible the gold melts at 1 minute 58 seconds. So I guess it gets to 1060 degrees C in 1 minute 58 ;) - I might invest in a temp probe ;) Cheers again

Hey after your vid two weeks ago I ordered a Stumpy Pick Dolly Pot, service was sooo good, ordered Thursday night delivered Monday
Can't wait to put it to work. Cheers Mate keep the vids rolling
Oh Glenn, many many thanks mate. Yeah Dan does an amazing job with getting his products out.
And good luck smashing some specimens. ;) Very awesome tool to have hey.
The graphite definitely is the issue. The thickness and cool/ heat ratio from top to bottom. Torching it is a good idea. Might even over pour over top then scrape flat. Also try pouring into middle perpendicularly not long ways! I hope this helps. 🏅👍
Ahh hey hey Mantis, yeah thanks so much for that. Will surely keep trying and fill you guys in on the progress. Fun t do it, LOL should have seen my very very first attempt ended up about 4 inches long. Run out fast and even went out of mold off the edge, looked cool though. Cheers Buddy
Love that little ingot ..
Ah mate, spewing I missed the live Premier.
Another great episode and a couple of nice nuggets, love the new gold ingot mould too.
Oh thanks so much Pete, was super busy as ya know. Luckily had time to get this one done too.
Super fun and cant wait to catch up and melt some with ya
Morning mg. That was fun . I enjoyed the melt. And the gold. Thanks
Oh thanks so much Mr Kevin, so glad ya liked that. Very fun stuff it was and cant wait to do some more melts.
"ONYA M.G " that's right ya gotta dig em all to find the gold.Thats a nice ingot & thanks for showing us all.
Oh thanks so much Locky, much appreciated mate, Just lovely when its semi purified. Even know Aus Gold is the most purest still looks great and we lose sweet bugger in the removing impurities hey.
Awesome gold yet again!! Nice gold bar. Well done matey
Thanks so much DB - fun doing it
Sorry missed the live. I will catch up though x
Ahhh thanks so much Lyn, was a bit late uploading but made it eventually. Good luck and hope ya enjoy
MG has got some welding skills going on. Good job mate nice gold, am I in the draw to win it? 😉
Bahaha LOL maybe many more skills as well. Just amazing finds and loved doing that gold melt. Haha in the draw, damn it sorry Chappo its been won already. As always enjoy ya week
What's the Goss on the 19" coil on the 7000? Good results Compared to the 14"?
19 is a great coil. Awesome sensitivity and excellent depth. Does what its suppose to do but I think better. Its heavy but nothing a good bungee wont fix, actually we connect our bungee below the adjuster and it helps so so so much even with the 14 coil.
Thanks for the reply MG. I have a hip stick that takes some of the weight off by back/shoulders and I have the bungy looped around the handle if that makes sense. I need to do some experimenting with the 19" and see if I can find some deeper targets. Might have a crack on the weekend. Cheers ☺
Just keep at it till you pile em up perfectly SO proud of you.
Hi Kahn, oh thanks so much for this great comment. I'm proud of you too mate. Have a great week and weekend ahead. Cheers M.G
MG Do you have a infrared thermometer for checking the mold and metal temps?
Yep sure do. I done a full 3 videos on the processes but not on RUclips.
Actually the IR Temp gun is kind of useless because it overloads at 400c - from stone cold crucible the gold melts at 1 minute 58 seconds. So I guess it gets to 1060 degrees C in 1 minute 58 ;) - I might invest in a temp probe ;) Cheers again
@@MinelabGold You can get higher rated temp guns on Ebay, but a proper thermocouple probe is the best way to go.
I missed the live but still really good to watch mate
Ahh hello Mr Ed, thanks mate.
Great stuff mate love the vids 😊
