In this video is me out on the hunt, I made this episode more relaxed and twice the length for all those in Melbourne in Stage 4 COVID lockdown just so they can enjoy extra things while being restricted. I found some amazing pieces of gold, well isnt all gold amazing. But some extra special specimens especially the one at the end. This episode is also more relaxed with some insight and of course a snack break to break the day.
For those new to the channel - I try to upload a couple of times a week, but keep in mind some days I just can't get out detecting or maybe no targets on the day. Almost every upload is a Premiere - which is played for the very first time on RUclips. We get many people joining the live viewing and interacting in chat while the premiere is playing. In the video’s its just about capturing the events that unfold on our journey through our gold detecting, and the best part about that is we just never know what the day will bring. Certainly we get excitement just from being out there. But the joys of finding gold no matter what the size is something we just never get back and need to share these moment.
Gold and metal detecting in Victoria in the wonderful golden triangle goldfields using mostly Minelab GPX 4500 with the Coiltek Elite Mono’s coils.
Having that 30% Increase is very well needed just to punch that extra depth and provide a better response

Dang brother, I would set up a tent and move to that location..... At nights cook up a Koala and all you do is leave once a month to sell gold and buy beer .....
I treat those specimens like newborn babies.... Hate when you clean them and the piece of gold falls out of the quartz, and you start saying all the bad words you remember from your divorce ......

MG, I was out today at Mt Crawford SA and had trouble with my 4500 were-ing as I swept side to side with the coil. Here's what I did.
1. Changed from fixed to ? What ever its called.
2. Changed coils, 14x9 to 8x6 to 11" no change
3. Played with the gain and stability no change.
4. Went back to factory settings. No change.
Can you please tell me what else I could try please?

Ahh thanks Christie, Monster would have got almost all those targets, all of the junk ones for sure, the super tiny 0.06 and the Specie in the side wall, but the other ones nah wouldnt have got those. Actually thinking about it, definitely not the 0.78g - but the last specie Hmmm maybe it would have to be honest. I found one similar but couple inches less with the GM1000. Ahh many thanks Eck - all depends on the area, If I am at a scrap metal yard type area so to speak my technique changes. There are a few areas lets say 50 x 15 meters and junk spread everywhere physically can see it all on the ground and every step is junk junk junk, and would take more than a lifetime to detect and dig each target. They are pick and choose, other days or areas are almost always dig everything. No right or wrong way hey whats most important is for everyone to enjoy the way they detect hey mate. I like changing it up on different techniques for sure. ;) Enjoy your week, hope that helps
