    I really appreciate this video. Saw a lot of DIY guys creating “how to” videos. It’s nice to see a professional demonstrate the right way to do it.

    top rail dresser looks like a piece of 5/8ths rebar for the handle and 1" angle iron and whatever was used for the hooks. I've never seen one used and it does a great job of easily and evenly lifting the chain link into place! Awesome tool!

    Those Ties are actually called Military Ties. They are and have been the standard for military/High security/Prison fencing. I love them some guys don't like they'd rather hand tie set in their old ways lol. I see you use Hog rings originally made for lobster traps. We use galvanized rebar ties instead much faster and gets consistently tight unlike the hog rings. As always great video nice work.

      @SWiFence  2 года назад

      You must have the rebar-tying skills! I'm not a fan of those myself.

    Are concrete screws always suppose to be installed with a drill that has "hammer" capability? Is the hammer option in this case a nice convenience or very necessary?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  2 года назад +1

      I would have to say yes. If you use a drill it will just torque out and stop running the anchor in--whereas an impact is nice because it helps hammer the anchor in. 👍🏻

    What can a homeowner use in place of a Bearclaw
    Thanks

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Год назад

      In place of a bear claw you could use a glazed donut and still get the same taste😆😆 I had to... Ok down to business---you could use a tie down (aka a ratchet strap), just run the tension bar a little further back to give room for the ratchet to work. or if in a tight spot tie the ratchet strap or come along off to a pull point beyond the post. (So for example, if you're doing a gate opening, you could use the next post, or a tree, or your truck.)

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  Год назад

      I'm afraid that's impossible to say since prices vary so extremely from region to region and company to company. You'd have to call around and get some prices from your local area.

    You know if you cut just the loops off top and bottom, you can simply unwind the1 link

    maybe a little late now, but why not just make each hole one size bigger in the metal to overcome the problem of the holes not lining up; because that would have definitely worked on that one. A half inch uni-bit would work great on that! It would allow you to trim material off of one side of the screw hole.
