UPDATE: So based on my experience with the new 12th Gen machines, I definitely recommend the Corsair Vengeance i7300 quite a bit more than the Alienware Aurora R13. I tested the i7 version with just an i7 and 3080 GPU and it was almost just as fast as Alienware's 3090 I tested and actually had higher fps on some games. So if you get the second Corsair below with the i9 and 3090, it will give you even better performance than the Aurora R13. You can see my review beneath the product links below

Damn really ?? I ordered fully specd x17 but was thinking to switch it to fully specd out r12 with the rtx3090 ?? I want to get the 38” screen and afraid they x17 won’t be able to deliver decent FPS for triple a games?? Eventually will need a high end laptop Bc of my work requiring me to travel but for now what should I do???
Hey Steeve I actually prefer the x17 over this one to be honest. It was basically just as fast for about the same price and not nearly as loud as well as portable!

If you check the prices I think most should get Alienware Aurora since i7 is just barely better than the Aurora and costs a lot more

I just got the Aurora R12 about 4 months ago and I have been VERY happy with it. I mainly use it for work (I own a medical and legal transcription company); however, there is one golf game that I do enjoy playing (the extent of my gaming) and this PC has MORE than met my needs. I'm primarily a Mac user (I have an iMac and MacBrook Pro), but I do require a Windows PC for my work, and this R12 is, hands down, the absolute best PC I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I was a bit hesitant at first because of the high price tag, but I ended up getting approved for the Dell Preferred financing and it was zero interest for an entire year with very reasonable monthly payments, so I took the plunge and ordered it It's also the best looking PC I've ever owned! The aesthetic of the tower and the blue lights look amazing on my desk. This is not a tower that you want to hide in a cabinet or put on the floor. You want to put this beast on full display!

I've talked to RUclipsrs who have posted videos of temps under load with good testing temps and have no issues with heating. I've researched this thoroughly as I'm getting an R12 soon.
any alienware product ive had has temp problems. its cause dell thinks just cause intel cpus can run at 100 now they can cheap out
@@austinsain4650 the liquid cooled cpu is what fixes this issue. It's a bit more money but worth it.

I got my Alienware R12 last week. The shipment took about 1 month from order. I got a notice about a week delay but the PC shipped as initially scheduled. I got the R12 11900KF 32GB 3400Mhz with the RTX 3090. I did run into one issue when I played Call of Duty with updates done. I got the Clock Watchdog time error on a regular basis. I read on the Dell forums to go into the BIOS and change the OC (overclock) to OC LV 2 and that finally resolved my issue.
Other than the watchdog error, the computer has been running great. Most of the heat when games are running come through the top vent. I thought about building a PC, but I it would have been difficult to get a RTX 3090 by itself. I also wanted a PC that had the entire unit covered under warranty for the price I paid.
yeah RTX 3090s by themselves are insanely priced! You could basically sell the 3090 on ebay and buy another Alienware.
Literally like a month or two ago you had 3k now nearing 7k love the content!

Hey Rehan, I use Adobe Premiere for editing cuts between normal footage but for the special effects I use Adobe After Effects usually. From what I've seen, it appears that the 3080 version of this machine is a better bang for your buck

I got an R10 last June and upgraded a few things (memory, graphics, power, cooling). Went to turn it on and they had the memory sticks in wrong. Aside from that, I have had absolutely no problems with mine. Can handle streaming and gaming with no problems. Kind of want to pull parts for a custom case, but may be a headache.

No problem Steven! Yep that’s one of the great things about prebuilt machines. You’ll just need to plug in your keyboard and mouse, then connect your monitor with an hdmi cable and turn it on! 🙂
With the cpu watercooler, do you need to do maintenance on it? Such as topping it up with water? Or you dont need to?
no you don't have to do anything for the watercooling to keep going

I know I’m really late but I just ordered an R12 a few days ago as my first pc and I have no knowledge of PC gaming at all. I’ve always just been console so please forgive my dumb question but does the pc come with Wi-Fi compatibility or do you have to connect it directly to the router via Ethernet cord?

Nice video, I can't wait to get my R12 whenever it's ready (ordered it yesterday). Happy to see (from bottom comment) I made the right decision by upgrading the cooling to liquid cooling and that it didn't end up being a waste of money. I'm not super tech savy but I ended up picking up the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6 so I hopefuly it will be a good one. This will be my first desktop in a LONG while so I'm pretty hype about it and your video increased that hype xD I love the design of the casing and while I wasn't a huge fan of RGB stuff and theme crazy light, I think this looks really cool.
You're going to be so happy with it my friend! Especially after not having bought a new computer in a while! It is quite the upgrade

@@ericcerrillo1690 It's doing really well. It almost completely silent with the liquid cooler and I had no issue running anything so far. Outside small hiccups from time to time it's running great on long periods of time. It doesn't eat up all that much either, I barely go over 65 when playing games.

You can replace the CPU cooler with a Corsair water cooler and then you can replace your fans with cooler master silent ones to reduce the sound even more. Add some ram and it feels like a new pc. You can also add a second front fan and you can add a fan on the top to help release hot air.

I've owned so many alienware and was for the most part, happy. If you don't know how to build your own computer, this will work out just fine. Fine guides on how to remove bloatware though.
most of the people who complain are the one's who like to build computers themselves. But honestly I don't see why they think it's so much cheaper to build your own compared to a prebuilt Aurora R12 considering how much the GPU alone costs
I’m curious about the performance and heating. I just ordered the R10 with the same specs as yours, but with the rx5900/6800xt. I’m a little nervous because I researched the gpu/cpu combo and was happy with the performance. After reading many reviews on the R10 and R11, it seems like they aren’t getting the performance that the gpu/cpu are capable of due to cooling and other issues. I’m glad you have another video coming out about the topic.

I have the ryzen edition and I've had zero issues with heating. Been very happy with my alienwear.

That keyboard and mouse set is the same one I purchased recently from Microcenter and had the return. The keyboard was not working right . When I pressed any key it would type 0 all the way across. I hope yours works better. The Ailenware PC looks amazing though!

So, mine came without a GPU.. what would you recommend? Don’t wanna spend more than $150 if possible. I’m not looking to play high end games. The most intensive game I’m going to be playing is house flipper, shadow of war, monopoly plus. I want to be able to run these games on high settings smoothly. Any ideas or help?

I’ve had mine for about a week. I love the design, I wanted to know if you have run into any high temperatures on the CPU. I have the RTX 3070 version. Temps on the CPU reach 100C. I’ve seen it get up to 222F. I also only average about 100FPS on some games that should run much higher. After watching your video I noticed yours has the water cooling mine only has the stock fan could be why it’s reaching such high temps.
Yeah water cooling makes a huge difference! I’ll be uploading my full review with temps and benchmarks from several games here on Friday
should of never bought a aleinware build ur own not to mention its a pain to work on anything in that case aleinware case has really bad airflow and low quality proprietary parts u can add a 120 mil cooler or a low profile air cooler but ur gonna be in for a ruff install

Just bought this same one had it 2 weeks and it bricked on an Alienware firmware update had to wait almost a week to get tech to come to my house to fix ,she put in new motherboard and it bricked as soon as she turned it on, she called Dell and had to ship it to Austin Texas to repair , mind you only had two weeks. Well long story short Dell exchanged the computer for a new one . Still waiting on it to come in. What little time we had it it was awesome.. wish us luck on the new one…

Hey Next Level Gaming, yes those are things that you can easily upgrade in the future. Just keep in mind that DDR5 will not be possible with this motherboard. So you’ll just be locked to DDR4 upgrades

I really appreciate that man! I actually went to school for visual effects but still watched a RUclips video for the fastest way to do this in After Effects. There was a lot of hand tracking on a broom stick for the big lightsaber as well as the tiny screwdriver I turned into a tiny saber.

I pay for it monthly along with a bunch of other Adobe programs like Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere. I believe it’s like 40 per month for all of them

0:46 one pretty notable complaint I had with mine is that here you can see the handles cut right into the area with the tower. On a rainy day, water could easily get in to that unprotected area. They also open up right to the front and back where all the inputs are.
