    How much leakage current is acceptable limit and after hipot IR value result is compare to Before IR is more or less?

    In your gis switchboard video you use HVAC kit and here hvdc.which one is better and why.and how much leakge current acceptable for gis 66kv cable.please answer

      for cable HVDC is better , and for leakge current not have any fixed value. need to ref. FAT

    Why when we use AC hipot testing , we get high capacitance? And why high leakage current for high capacitance ? And also explain the how low distance between cables reasons high capacitance

    • @baranitech
      @baranitech  4 года назад

      On DC only charging capacitance current take place but for AC charging and discharging also take place additionally inductance also take place in AC so generally leakage current is high when we compare to DC

    Sir, why IR test is done before and after cable Hi-pot test ??

    • @baranitech
      @baranitech  3 года назад +1

      to verify Cable not have any damage before hipot test and after hipot test it should be check it is not damage during hipot

    For hipot test ac or dc voltage best?

    • @sabumtsabu
      @sabumtsabu 4 года назад +1

      For cable only AC shall be used that too VLF (Very low frequency). DC is not recommended. Olden days we were using DC, but not now.

      @@sabumtsabu i think you are saying opposit,DC recommended for Cable and AC for the bus bar

    • @sabumtsabu
      @sabumtsabu 2 года назад

      @@djamelbek7506 No, DC hipot on cable is considered destructive as it will increase treeing effect on cables.

    If you have to do 11kv cable means what is current range you will select in the hipot kit sir... Same as 33kv??

      It needs to be done at the equivalent of Peak AC Voltage.
