It is! But ideal conditions are ephemeral. We rafted it a few days ago, and didn't need to drag the rafts over any shallow spots. But, probably in a week , or two or three, the raft will need to be dragged over several shallow spots.
Yea - the flow is pretty slow most of the time. A few mild rapid areas to keep it interesting though, u can see in the vid. The afternoon winds can slow you down. It's definitely a leisurely float.
so you're OK with those 3 and others rafting on the Mad as long as they don't one-up you by rafting further than you did? Is that what you mean? just curious

Hope you get a chance to do so. We had a higher than average rainfall this winter, so the area is especially lush and green this summer.

LMAO I went all the way from the bridge in blue lake to mad river beach.......don't ever try n one up me .
