Another fine one, Will. Loved the drone shots of the sheep sorting. Josie took them straight to the shed. Too bad Josie couldn't do the gate herself. 😻
Good logic on selling the extra tup lambs. I think it's always best to have customers wanting more rather than having too many and not being able to sell them. It's not good marketing to take them to a sale and then no-sale them and bring them home, not to mention the added expense and wasted time. Good job Will!
My tip although I’ve never sold a tup would be turning over the prospects to ensure no misshapen cleats, separation that might start to cause problems later. Shouldn’t be an issue with your best tups. Especially now you have a Tepari! Also, always have baler twine and a knife in your pocket, to tie a hurdle back, fix a gap etc 🤷♂️
I've wondered before so I thought I'd ask. Why do you lamb so early? I always thought of the lleyn as an outdoor lambing easycare with wool type of breed.
A mixture of when I used to have time off at uni and grass availability. Because of our haylage/hay business I have have more grass acreage in winter than summer so keep them out until we close friends off fir cutting
Sheep are looking well ❤❤❤
You have some nice grass there too
