    Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.

My favorite figure of the whole set

I have this set - it's the best for the price! The upgrade kit does it wonders, too.

    surprisingly well thought out transformation.
I didnt know the Generation Toys design before watching this video. Im glad they didnt just lazily leave the drum on the back of the robot mode. cool 👍

It's actually meant to go either way. It's actually easier to move the turret out of the way first before lowering the shoulder panels and rotating the head, but I wanted to show, at least in close-up, that you can leave it the more traditional way.

_Highly_ recommend getting this set if you're considering it. There's also a Toyhax label set that's really good - make sure you get the Jinbao OverSized ones!

Me? I have the whole set, have for years now. I get some folks like Toyhax labels and it can be fun to put them on (I got their Trypticon set - whew!) but I'm way into transformation design so I don't tend to bother with stickers. This might be the only set I ever put faction symbols on, come to think of it.

You missed my reply from the previous video. If these figures are all in one box, I can't do it. Longhauls shovel shoulders are sloppy

@@peolesdru right, bonecrucher. And stop saying that. You're not making any sense. So are all figures in one box?

@@lynnesauer6008 You declined to name your favorite figure, so I don't know what you like, only what you don't like. The JinBaos originally came as three sets of two. Legs, Arms, Torso. The original slightly smaller Generation Toy figures came out one at a time and I think later as a set.

Between the stocky robot mode and the foot mode where it looks like the cab is mashed, I think this design is weakest in set. Still handles the mass between modes very elegantly, though.

Both legs have solid combiner design and stability, but it affects both legs in similar ways in robot mode since the waist is also the ankle.

So I have a dilemma. I dunno if I should stick with MMC's Devvy which is toon accurate (not something I truly care about) and is probably all in one like the other two, or do I go for 01/Zeta which has a more stylized look, which I find awesome, but is only rumored to be all in one.

    • @peolesdru
      @peolesdru  5 месяцев назад

I get MMC nearly always because of their:
      > clean and elegant transformation design.
      > solid material selection and engineering.
      > excellent fit and finish.
      > attention to the source material.
I canceled my XTB Devastator preorder when MMC announced. Maybe an XTB fan will loan me their full set when it finishes, or I win the lottery. If I have to get just one, I gotta get the MMC.
That stylized 01/Zeta one looks super cool, but I will also have to skip that one. I really only need so much "Devastator" in my life. Maybe I don't worry about it as much because I wasn't super into the games, and by extension that style.

And dude, it's totally All-in-One - the thighs stow inside the torsos of the leg robots. Man, I wish they'd announce a Superion. They can't sleep on Superion, can they?

This is my current devastator. I love him. KO oversized with the new kit. Obviously not toon, but damn good nonetheless.

In every Devastator war I choose the one that looks more "toy" over "cartoon":
      > Picked MakeToys over TFC
      > Picked GenerationToy(via JinBao) over Toyworld
      > Picking MMC over any competitor at all.
