Dato Robert Kuok is a very kind man who respond quickly to the need of the Chinese Government in need of sugar and money. His gesture served as a patriotic Chinese whose contributions to mainland China is an eye openers to others. I really admire his courage and quick respond to China dire situations.

As Robert Kuok prepares to celebrate his upcoming 101st birthday, let's look back at his enduring relationship with Lee Kuan Yew and his perspectives on China's leaders, Deng Xiaoping and Xi Jinping. Additionally, we’ll delve into his perspectives on the overseas Chinese diaspora in Southeast Asia.

Hope China would give Dual citizenship and Law of Return or even birthright similar to Israel to help the diaspora especially the younger generation to be close to China again, time is running out for China to implement these programs as the Diaspora especially its English speaking/Anglophone youth are bombarded with western media and propaganda. It also make visiting China less of a pain in the ass with Visas and all that.

Not a good idea. China has to beware of the double-faced traitors like those in Hong Kong. They can betray China and then escape with their Western country's passports.
Hong Kong should cancel all the residency rights of the BNO passport holders.

dual citizenship is the bane of many countries today, when loyalties are in doubt, conspiracies abound and a country is hard to govern. many will also exploit such ambiguities for selfish gains

Bad idea to allow dual nationality. Traitors will take advantage of it to incite sedition and insurrection as they did in Hong Kong in 2019.
Hong Kong government should cancel the citizenships of those who have taken up BNO passports and forbid them the right of abode in Hong Kong.

"During his sugar pioneering era, sugar was the least of health concerns amongst the majority of people in the world." Really?
Diabetes was discovered in the 15 or perhaps 16th century. Effective treatment came in the early 19th century, few years before R. K. was born.
    Trust IQ is genetically inherited.

During his sugar pioneering era, sugar was the least of health concerns amongst the majority of people in the world.
What was important then was to have enough basic foods like rice, sugar & salt.
Nowadays, when you don't have to strain yourself so much physically just to have a meal, you can have too much luxury of convenience to abuse the intake of basic foods in excess. Everybody knows now that too much rice (carbohydrates), sugar (empty carb) & salt is bad for your health - though the food is not poison.
Wisdom comes with age, don't prejudge a person & look at things from a narrow perspective - maybe then, you can have a fraction of his wealth & respect.
Does LKY, Deng or Xi, some of the greatest statesman the world have ever seen, knows that you exist ? But they all know who Robert is. 😊
