Thank you for sharing your awesome journies with us. I booked my first ever Disney cruise (3rd cruise overall) on the Treasure for a very Merrytime cruise. So excited. ✨️
I am so excited for this series and to learn more about RC! To compare what you have shown to concierge on Disney…..no coffee machines in suites on Disney except Royal suites. No dedicated restaurant for suite guests on Disney. Disney does have a dedicated lounge with hosts and happy hour from 5-10. DCL also has a private embarkation day lunch for concierge guests as well. On most ships during the concierge lunch the hosts come and meet with each family/stateroom to double check activities and requests. Disney could and should offer many more perks for the price point of concierge, IMO. So excited to see the rest of your experience!
Thanks for all the info! We will make a video all about the suite and suite perks. We didn’t even realize all of them on the first day. So amazing! My favorite one… oh my goodness, you have to wait but it was the best
Just watching this makes me really excited about the disney treasure in april 2025 even if there not the same cruise lines and ive been on the exact course that the treasures going on with the dream
Sweer couple, sweet family! I enjoyed your video! I've been on Oasis of the Seas and I thought it was pretty large. Glad you had a great time and was able to stay up and catch the balloon drop 😊!
We paid for a private car service (not a limo) to pick us up. Not cheap, but we didn’t want to be late and we wanted to be certain we would be able to have a large enough vehicle with room for us & our luggage. Lyft/Uber cars are sometimes too small for just one car.
Great, informative video. We are taking Symphony of the Seas out of Miami in December. We have been watching RUclips videos about the ship but really like the personal touch in yours! 😊
You all are so amazing at sharing the important details! The way you describe everything is so helpful. I’ve been on many RC ships (including Oasis class) and I picked up some new info. 😊 We’ve only gone as far as Jr Suite but now definitely eyeballing that Suite Life. 🤣 Can’t wait for the next videos!
I absolutely loved this video and was so excited to see that you went on Royal Caribbean. I will be going on Quantum of the Seas through Royal Caribbean next month to Alaska and it be my 1st time as i have ever only cruised with Disney. So I am excited to see you adventures on the ship and how you enjoyed the cruise line. Also the speciality dining as we will be eating a Jamies as well.. As always thank you for all the work you do with making the content and sharing your family memories with us. I appreciate it ❤
How fun! We’ve had friends who sailed on Quantum in AK and they loved it! If someone will be using the couch bed, make sure to ask your stateroom host about setting up that bed at night and putting it away. We were told in standard rooms that they can still do that, even if they only service the room once per day.
I enjoyed seeing this and hearing your perspective of RC! You made a great choice with the suite because the once a day room service and having the sofa bed folded down for the duration of our cruise was not ideal.
Our room host said that it is possible to get your bed set up at night and then put back into a couch during the day in a standard room. You just need to ask your room host to help with that. He said they’ll still service the room only once, but they’ll pop in to reset the bed at another time of the day. If we ever go on a Royal cruise and don’t get a suite, we’ll have to try that!
I am so excited to see what the differences are between Disney and RC. it’s a bucket list of mine to go on a cruise but I really want to make sure that’s right because it would be on once in a lifetime thing
I'm so excited to see the 2nd part of this adventure. We also went on a RC for the first time, and I'm afraid that we liked it too much! We went on Icon in June and loved it. Have 3 boys, and they're getting kind over Disney's cruises 😢 I still want to go on the Treasure, though!
You can never like something too much, and it’s oK to like two different things the same 😊 we still really enjoy Disney cruises, but it’s fun that we have another option we really enjoy too.
Chris you have def done your homework on this ship! This is how I felt when I cruised on freedom of the seas huge!! But in one wk we’re going on grandeur of the seas which is a smaller ship but good to try it all. I think the girls love the ship not that you can’t do Disney cause I’m a big Disney girl but there getting older. Glad you had a good first day !!
We still love Disney cruises! But it was fun to try a different cruise brand that has more activities on the ship that are better suited for all of us!
I really wish Disney would've stuck with their pandemic Era muster process. It was so much easier! Glad to see Royal has an easier process. We've been looking at Royal for a future cruise. Their ships look awesome! We'll have to give them a try soon!
We think both have their pros and cons, for sure. Disney is amazing and sets the standard for service and entertainment… but Royal has shows you would never experience on a Disney cruise that are INCREDIBLE! More to come 😊
I’m a little scared that once I take a RC cruise I’m not going to want to go back to DCL 😅 y’all did an amazing job sharing the trip so far. Can’t wait for the rest!!
Love it. The royal bathrooms in normal rooms are amazing with having a shower door vs a curtain but your suite is beautiful. Will have to try that and one of the bigger ships one day. I agree with the girls about the buffets. Windjammer is the best we’ve experienced on any cruise line. So many options. Sailing under bridges is great - you will have to come to Australia one day and sail under Sydney Harbour Bridge (but only smaller ships such as Disney Wonder and the P&O Australia ships fit)
I'm so happy to see this - I'm going on my first RC cruise from the same port next year! Definitely more of a Disney gal, so I'm excited to see your review :)
@@monicabo94 I think it depends on what you're looking for! I went on my first cruise on the Wish in March, and I loved it. I also think the RC cruise will be awesome. I think it depends on if you want the 100% Disney feel or the "all around" cruise feel.
Aloha! Thank you for sharing! Sailing out of NY looked amazing! We’ve sailed Disney, NCL & Princess. We’d like to try RC someday. Their disembarkation ports and seasons don’t seem to work well for us but we’ll keep looking.
Okay so you have definitely convinced me to try RC (Suite life too!!) but I was curious while watching this video - how did you feel about the much bigger size at first? Also how did that affect letting the girls go off and do their own thing on a much bigger ship and lastly, cocktails and wine aside (since they were in your suite lounge) would you think the drink package is worth the cost for the freestyle machine aspect? Can't wait to see the rest of this series!! Thanks, Millers!!
We were so surprised that we never felt overwhelmed by the amount of people. Being in a Sky Suite definitely helped since we could hang out in less crowded & quieter spaces on board. There are so many different areas and so many activities on board, or does a great job people being spread out. After getting our bearings, we had no problems with the girls going off on their own. We mostly wanted to make sure they felt comfortable. We’ll talk about all that more (drink packages, specialty dining, etc…) when we do our thoughts on Royal Caribbean video. We will also do a comparison video between Disney and Royal 😊
Haha! We have never had a discounted or free cruise. We usually book a year in advance and pay monthly to help budget. Vlogging is a fun hobby for us to share our experience and save our memories.
@@carriekmiller Did you know the lines in your videos? One of the reasons could be the shutter speed; I ask because I plan on vlogging on my first 🛳 cruise on a similar ship. I'm also plan on getting a DJI Pocket 3, whohooo! Thank you so much!!!!!
Yeah it’s because of the LED lighting in some of the restaurants & dining rooms. Same with Disney. I’m sure there is a setting on the camera that can clean it up, but when we’re just capturing stuff in the moment, it’s not worth the time it would take it to change the settings around.
If we sail on a Royal ship where the perks aren’t as good as Oasis class ships, then we will likely do something like that. The perks of sailing suite class made this so worth it for us on this cruise 😀
I’ve cruised Royal a lot and I noticed glancing at the Costal menus that there are not too many differences from the main dining room. The food is probably prepared when ordered and not massed produced as it is the dining room.
That’s interesting. The fact that they have a kitchen right there means that they don’t need to mass produce the food for thousands of people, which usually would mean that it should be better. We really enjoyed the food on the ship!
We cover this in more detail in our QA/Review video! There just too many to list here. Here is a good page to see the benefits: www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-royal-suite-class
It’s so hard not to compare 😅😂 went on the wish first so for my cousins graduation we went on rc independence ots I was comparing everything and my mom was like Marsha Marsha Marsha 😅😂😂😂 Disney will forever be top tier to me 😊😂

Most of the ships do the online watch muster drill.
Disney should really look into doing this.
