The easies way to do it takes like 5 minutes the first time, you just grab a front leg and the mane and pull them back at the same time, if your horse trusts you he will lay down and each time you do it it takes less time
You broke this down beautifully and so clearly that I feel absolutely confident that I'm going to be able to teach my geldings. Please keep posting! You have a talent for teaching.

I subscribed and hit the bell. I am just now realizing the things I have been doing with horses is basically liberty work. I thought I was just playing with horses but ppl say it’s a gift to approach a horse I never met and that horse will do anything I ask with no rope. I don’t own a horse but have access to a bunch of them. Recently someone asked me to work with his dads horse as he has fallen I’ll and can’t handle the lead rope. I declined because I’m no trainer or anything. I just really enjoy horses. He assured me he has been watching me with the horses and needs his dads horse to respond the same. So when I went to work with her, ppl were filming it and advised I should look into making a living of this. So here I am reading, watching and learning everything I can. I have just watched a few of your videos and want to say thank you for sharing. It means a lot to those looking to work with horses for a living. Any advice you may have or anyone reading this, I ask you to please share. That kind you all and God bless
What I like about you with horses is you know what the horse does naturally and why. So tricks are broken down into movements that the horse does naturally. You give the horse time to understand and most important give the horse a “rest” period 😊
Thank you so much for such clear details in your training, and for sharing this with all of us. I'm 77 years old and still have my horse. Liberty training is something that I am very interested in. You are a God send and inspiration. I look forward to seeing your other videos.

After watching several of your videos recently, I just subscribed today, Carmella. Liked how you got Tucker to follow your intentions and instructions and lay down with the lunge crop and not the ropes as other channels use. My dad raised Appys and had one that looked like Tucker but with more spotting on the rump. The price ranges for vet bills, farriers, hay, pellets and tack was very helpful. Useful to me. I'm teaching my mule to lie down. I've got the behavior now need to get it on cue. I didn't think about reinforcing getting all four feet close together. The yawning is a very good example of how teaching your horse to lower his head, as yawning and licking lips are visual signs that the horse is releasing tension and using his brain to learn rather than operating out of prey instincts.

This is great stuff. I will be getting a couple of horses, just for riding, and have forgotten most everything.
Fun to watch you train with your horse! you two are cool together. I retired in Branson, MO and have went on horse trial rides in rolling hills here it was fun! My cousin had a horse and want to take her on the trails here too!
This is great, I really love how you have broken it down step by step. Summer goals 😊
This was great!!! Thank you! I would love to see how you finish the trick to ask him to lay in a position that a rider could mount from the ground! I love to ride bareback and that's why I would love to teach this trick
This is very helpful!
I let my little brothers ride my horse and they cant mount her so teaching her to lay down is really helpful!💜
Good to know about the farrier.cant wait to start working on this slowly.
Fabulous video. So glad you came up on my feed.
Where can I get that halter?
Thanks for the support! I can’t remember where I got this; I know it was online somewhere. Sorry 🤦♀️
Hello Carmella! You were very easy to understand in your instructions. Thank you.
Love this! Thank you :)
Tucker is a champ!
Love the step by step instructions. I am going to try it!!
Great video! Great advice! Thank you for the guidance through the process. 🤠
Nice job ,I am going to try this with my 17 yr Q.H. ,I will be happy to get this.
Can you do a video on getting him to side step to a mounting block.?
U r the best and most informative horse channel that I've ever found u should have like a million subscribers!! U r awesome and please keep posting videos!😄 I love them
Thanks Kiley! I appreciate people like you!
thank you so much for this video! all of your videos have helped me with a crazy mare😂. I just subscribed and let me tell you I am so glad i did. thank you again!!!❤
I love your videos! Please do more. Me and my horse Bandit are having so much fun doing the games you post and it is making us closer. Keep up the good work 👌
The yawning is a very good example of how teaching your horse to lower his head, as yawning and licking lips are visual signs that the horse is releasing tension and using his brain to learn rather than operating out of prey instincts.
I love all your videos and the way you explain it is awesome and simple. Thank you so much for this.
You explain the process so very well. Thank you!
I love the way you work with the horses!
Great job👏it’s so interesting to see how you break down the steps in order to achieve the goal. I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos:)
Love your videos! I have an 8 yo that I’ve had since he was a weanling. Unfortunately he’s more of a pet than anything (life got in the way) and I’d like to move forward with his training. More green/beginner groundwork training help would be great! I’d love to ride him someday! 😎💕🐴🐎
Thanks for the response, Jodi! I will definitely keep this in mind when planning videos. Groundwork tends to be my soapbox, so I can guarantee there will be more videos on this 😂
