I tried your method with my pony and it is clicking with her. Thank you so much for sharing your progress with Prince and being so open about it! I’ve watched all four lying down videos with Prince and it’s great to see even the parts where he loses interest, because for me those are the times when training can be most difficult. Thanks again!
I did this with my gelding and he layed down within 25 minutes! I couldnt believe it! He learned so quick what I was asking! I had to use the end of the lead rope to tap his belly tho, he thought I wanted him to lunge when I tried using the stick and string. Thank you for an easy method!
I used it with my 17 year old Belgian Warmblood and it worked amazing! After 2 sessions he was already rolling and laying down for a few seconds! Thank you very much for sharing this
You're a Joy to watch! Love your personality and I appreciate the way you train both your horses and your viewers 🙂 You just have a very likable way about you. Authenticity Thanks for sharing you and your horses with us.
Is there a video showing the next day's training? I'd love to see this all of the way from beginning to end with a horse that doesn't know how to do it. EDIT: I just found day #2. If you posted the link to Day #2 in the video description it would help others find it! THANK YOU for making these videos!
Could you do teaching a horse spanish walk, bow and liberty circles no treats too please? This are all things i would like to try with my horse, i love your channel and all that you do with your mustangs😍
Camille..you're absolutely AMAZING. I've been binge watching your videos and I don't know if I missed it or you don't have one (hoping you eventually will), but my horses (the youngsters anyway) are terrified of taking a bath. Their not scared of the hose, or the water, but combined...oh boy...they think their gonna be dinner...lol. I've been so patient and have taken my time, but still no way, they pull back everytime. Any suggestions would be great. A video would be FABULOUS. Great videos.
Question for you! I have taught all my horses to do this! But still having a hard time getting them to stay down longer! They tend to get right up, any recommendations lol?! Thank you!
Hey! I love your videos! I've been trying to get my horse to lay down for a long time now. She gets to the point where she will drop her head and paw at the ground as soon as I touch her belly but she won't go down. If I add more pressure she gets angry and won't move. I've tried getting her wet and doing places she likes to roll but she just won't do it. Any advice?
Is it okay to teach this after a ride? My horse always rolls after rides, so I'm thinking it would be good to teach him when he actually wants to lay down?
Did you do this as your first contact this day or did you do other work prior to this? I have seen some people rinse off first before this does that work?

To teach your horse to LIE down, lay down the whip.
your method is pretty similar to samvanfleet's method
YOU ARE AN EXCELLENT TRAINER BUT DO YOU REALIZE YOU HAVE LEAD ROPE CIRCLED AROUND YOUR HAND? NOT GOOD FOR THOSE JUST LEARNING.
Dorothy Dickson it’s not a problem with a stiffer lead like she is useing
