I think what made the React World controversy so bad is that Rafi and Benny came off as totally unapologetic and douchey about the whole thing. like they were annoyed no one was happy with their obvious scam.

Didn't they go down even further when a lot of stuff about rascism from the fine brothers came out? So many of their reactors left after that
I used to watch them a lot, when they often covered controversial topics.

My blood is boiling again after remembering the first time I heard that news. Aokigahara was originally a sacred place at the base of mt. Fuji but due to the amount of suicides that occur there it has become a place where the dead become lost and haunt those that enter and disturb their final resting places.. If anyone in Japan feels like there is no way out of the torment in their lives there is a number on one of the signs near the entrance for therapy and suicide prevention. Please know that there are people who love and care about you.

If anything blame RUclips for letting the video stay up as long as it did. Hes a youtuber, hes gonna do what hes gonna do to make money like anyone else here. Be consistent or be quiet
@@BazzbeTV1 To be perfectly frank before the news dropped I didn't know who Logan paul was. I was never big into social media beyond facebook or youtube. I actually first heard the news from a channel that does content about Japan.
it's not about who did it or not but the way he did it. some people go in there and show their respects for what it essentially is. he, on the other hand was overly disrepectful with his approach and what he did. i could say the same for anyone that goes in with such disrepect regardless of who they are.

I like how you failed to mention that that RUclips only punish Jake because of mass outcry from both creators and advertisers. On top of that creators got strikes and some even got banned for calling him out as well as the blatant favoritism of RUclips. Mark my words if his channel wasn’t so high profile he would’ve been banned instantly. The biggest part of the controversy on the end of creators was the favoritism and there’s a strong possibility that the adpocolypse wouldn’t have been so bad had RUclips taken decisive action as soon as the controversy started instead of waiting weeks just to quietly punish him.
I rem his first interview, he was asked something about his RUclips punishment, and he said that he I knew they had to something.
2016 was a wild fuckin' year, not just for RUclips.

I don't know if it counts. But the collapsing of Defy Media, and the fact they owed a much of money to their employees is a pretty big one.
I was so not surprised Matthew Santoro's abusive ex turned out to be Nicole Arbour. She comes off as being just like Amber Heard in a lot of ways. He actually went out of his way to not name her.. but she HAD to out herself because of her total narcissism.

Nicole arbour is the worst. Not only did what she did to santoro, but there's a rapper/singer on here named Upchurch she dated for a hot minute. She attempted to force him to have sex with her, when she went crazy on him he walked out and left leaving his wallet there which she essentially refused to give to his friend that he said he was sending over to get leading to the cops being called, she says she wrote a couple songs that he "stole", she claimed to be roofied at a bar they were at so he drove her to the er so she could get checked out and when the drug tests came back negative she kept asking the drs "are you sure", in one interview she calls him various names and in another refers to him as a "complete gentleman", he finally dumped her. I think the most recent bs thing she's done is trash an air bnb leaving dirty tampons and stuff everywhere and breaking things. She seems absolutely bat shit crazy.
I'm very surprised that James Charles sending nudes to minors wasn't mentioned and in regards to Nicole Arbour and Matthew Santoro I think RUclipsr Rob Ganavan who is a friend of Matthew also confirmed that he was talking about Nicole after she commented about it
RUclips silenced any news of James being a monster cause he gets them money.

Can I just say that as a Teenager/Adult, Elsa gate is hilarious. The fact that kids saw it was disturbing but the content itself is comedic gold
Certain videos are funny for their absurdity, but most of them are just creepy and uncanny valley. It seems like the animations are mass produced and posted by bots.
The Spiderman and Elsa live action videos were part of the "first wave" and after that, things got weirder.
I've known about this kind of thing since around 2016 and I managed to find some really strange videos over the years... things like Mickey Mouse harassing female characters or engaging in violent acts. Definitely not appropriate for an audience under 13.
I caught my niece watching Elsagate and forbade her from doing so.
There was a channel called Hey Kids that was extremely bizarre, but thankfully the person behind it seems to have stopped posting.

You need to go watch matpats video about it if you haven't already. This entire "controversy" makes far more sense through that lense
You missed Brooke Houts scandal when an unedited video was uploaded of her hitting and yelling at her Doberman. Even so much as spitting on him and calling the dog nasty names. As a Doberman owner myself, and just overall a dog owner, this was horrible to watch. It's clearly just a young energetic Doberman wanting to play and she is hitting him and yelling at him for it. It then brought up the idea of what other videos that were uploaded and edited down may be like behind the scenes and had people wanting the dog removed from her.
The Toby Turner one still hurts. He never recovered from it and it sucks, because I loved watching his videos growing up and his channels are pretty much dead at this point thanks to those allegations

Me too! And Shay Carl from the Shaytards cheated on his wife of 10+ years with a call girl, and he’s a huge alcoholic while he’s supposed to be morman and all that. He was also one of, if not the first family blogging channels, who totally exploited his hounds kids, and wife, and led a totally fake life on camera, when in reality it wasn’t so good.

If Logan Paul learned (that's if he had at all during that inappropriate time in Japan), it's NEVER EVER a good look filming the bodies of anyone, especially when they offed themselves. It just isn't. I'm sure most people who caught that video have/had loved ones with mental health issues.

Myka Stauffer actually claimed they believed Huxley had a terminal brain tumor, and that they learned later that he had been misdiagnosed = which is way worse, because they adopted him believing that he only had a few years to live. When they found out he was autistic and not terminally ill, and that they might have to be there to take care of him all his life... that's when they decided to start looking at ways to "re-home" him. Huxley was never a person to Myka Stauffer. He was a pet. And the moment it became clear to her that he was a person how had real human needs, she tossed him aside.

I actually remember when the Logan Paul incident happen my middle school actually had a speaker talk to us about it. You know it was bad when their was an school assembly regarding what Logan did.
PewDiePie making Anti-Semetic/Racist remarks is one thing. Logan Paul recording a dead body in a suicide forest in Japan definitely deserves number one. I remember when that LP video came out. I was in high school at the time and suffering badly from depression and anxiety. His reaction to finding a dead body in a forest, was basically trying to hold back a laugh. I can't believe there are people in the world like Logan Paul.
Needless to say, I have since graduated from high school, got the help I needed for my anxiety and depression, and am living my best life one day at a time. I have also unsubscribed from Logan Paul and have started watching more "comedic" RUclipsrs who at least have the brain capacity to understand human morals and values.

The problem with Eugenia is that she thrives on the attention she gets when people tell her she needs help. All of her videos, pictures, thumbnails, outfits ect are carefully chosen to portray just how dangerously thin she is so she gets the views and comments begging her to get help. She knows _exactly_ what’s she doing and that’s what makes her a very dangerous influence on people who will try to copy her.
I used to be anorexic, no matter how much weight I lost I would still hide my body under huge jumpers and baggy jeans. The idea of wearing the revealing clothes that Eugenia wears and then even recording myself in them would have thrown me into such a panic attack I would been distraught. For me that really shows she’s fully aware of how thin she is and how she’s negatively influencing people but she just doesn’t care.
I think it’s called “body positivity” and I think it includes aneorexic people as well

If I had to choose a YT scandal that should have been on this list, it would have to be the Dolly Flesh scandal. If you don’t know who that is, he was a claymation RUclipsr from Canada who made claymation videos that were extremely graphic. The videos featured torture, rape, murder, and other graphic content. Basically, imagine if Tim Burton went completely insane, and you have Dolly Flesh. But because his videos were made using clay, most people brushed it off as him being an edge-lord trying to upset people, even if they thought at first that something was wrong with him.
However, he uploaded a video that caused a lot of outrage, because in the video he apparently tortured and killed three real hamsters. The situation was so bad that he went to court. I don’t remember what the outcome was, but apparently a lot of animal rights activists were not happy about it, and I don’t blame them.
Why were like half of these in 2016?

The untold amount of damage these people have done to viewers is disturbing.
