- This video discusses the scene that I will be painting followed by several time lapse demos, and a brief brush & palette viewing.
I am using oil paint on a 16x20" wood panel. My paints are a mix of Gamblin, Windsor & Newton, and Utrecht. All of my cadmiums are Utrecht brand non-toxic cadmium free (synthetic replicas of the heavy metals).
Brush sizes include #1/2, 4, 6, 8, 12 flats. Long handle synthetic bristles.
The scene is just off the Little Horse Trail in the Village of Oak Creek, Sedona, Arizona. The features I'm painting include "The Nuns" which are next to the chapel of the holy cross (concealed by some trees in the foreground).
This painting is not yet for sale, so check back for availability details! In the mean time check out my Etsy store and Patreon profile:

Great painting,I really enjoy seen your videos..thank you for sharing the process..take care
wow👍
I'm learning by example. Plein air pushes you to paint fast. Its getting used to how to use my materials on site that slows me down. (noob). You have an appealing style of painting.
Oh , I live in south Utah!
about how long does a painting like this take?
About 2-4 hours. You have to catch it before the light changes too much! But this is typically the largest size I paint on site.
I want to paint with you 💗
