I got 4 :/, the violinist was easy, not for the hickey but the way his right hand relaxed on his sleeve, I've noticed through my time playing that the right hand relaxes with a distinctive bend to the pinkie finger due to the bow hold. The shoulders for me were a give away for the pianist she stands like many I know. the harpist stands with his right hand curved inwards and his left with thumb straight ahead, telling of the way they hold and play, I took a guess of the trombone due to his left shoulder being lower than the right, seems a posture thing they all seem to carry probably due to way they hold it? I used my experience as a massage therapist to help work them out lol! other than that I failed horribly.
Grace: Doesn't struggle with tempo, rhythm, or intonation Well, that's pretty true with a piano, since if you struggle with the first two, you just can't play any instrument, and if you struggle with the last one... hire a better tuner.
There was an Adam Neely Q+A with a question about brass players having notoriously bad rhythm, but they were trying to decide between violin and flute so who knows what they were thinking
10:07 First of all, Im really happy to see an oboist, and second of all, the right hand is very important because when you play an oboe, your left hand is at the top, and right is on the bottom. There’s a thumb rest for your right thumb, and the RH supports all the weight of the oboe. That explains my wrist pain :,}

@@yanas9871 I always found piano easy to practice in the sense that all is required to start is to just... sit at the piano. You can always get up and do sth else if you feel like it 😂 You don't have the extra hussle to open your case, put the shoulder rest on, tune and warm up (I guess as a violinist I have to warm up more than pianists). And when I decide I'm finished, I have to be serious - I have to loosen my bow, clean the strings, rosin my bow, take off the shoulder rest and close the case. It's like when a pianist is not in the mood it's much easier to stop practicing after only an hour. Disclaimer I'm not a pianist and I can be completely wrong, also I'm not suggesting in any way that piano is an easier instrument. Lots of love to piano gang! ♥️
As soon as Grace answered “none” on where she struggles the most-tempo, rhythm or intonation-I knew she was a pianist because intonation was never a major problem for pianists compared to wind, brass or string instruments. Plus her fave key is C major.
@@CadenzaPiano true, but it's really uncomfortable to play piano with long nails so one wouldn't be wrong in assuming that from a group of musicians, a person with clipped nails is likely a pianist

I am a pianist and I don't like Beethoven. I like his Kreutzer Sonata and Symphony no.9 and that's all. He is just overhyped. For example, I like Chopin / Liszt / Tchaikovsky / Shostakovich / Rachmaninoff. I admit that Beethoven is a great composer but personally I like Chopin and Rachmaninoff more.
Me, as an oboist with some harp experience: - Eb Major is so harp, because that's where the levers sit so you don't have to move anything - What oboist likes Ravel?! Tombeau de Couperin is the most hated excerpt of all time
They didn't know the harp. It was misleading for me too: I first thought trombone (if you play it in C), in a concert band as trombone it's quite common to have some flats in the key. Since trombone is in nature a Bb instrument, most of the times played in C, then Eb is close to 'normal'.
Eddy: " Why is right hand important for oboe?" Because I hold my instrument LMAO By the way, the "Do you do this pffffftttttt" is called buzzing ( I play clarinet and piano by the way)
I always find you guys so fun to watch despite me not knowing much of anything about music. Your enthusiasm just draws me in! This video was lots of fun :D
Hey, who else would love to see a proper metal video fom Twoset? as someone who plays a lever harp I guessed harp for Nigel almost immediately because a lever harp with all levers down is naturally tuned to Eb major ◡̈ maybe if they asked to see or feel his fingers they wouldn’t have eliminated harp so early because harpists usually have calluses on their fingers

Wow! That is some observation-amazing!
i think we have different definitions of "easy"
That’s so cool. You should work in criminal justice and they should make a tv series about you!
Your observations were really nice. Thank you for sharing!
Detective Conan here XD Good job.
Grace: Doesn't struggle with tempo, rhythm, or intonation
Well, that's pretty true with a piano, since if you struggle with the first two, you just can't play any instrument, and if you struggle with the last one... hire a better tuner.
Intonation🤣🤣🤣
There was an Adam Neely Q+A with a question about brass players having notoriously bad rhythm, but they were trying to decide between violin and flute so who knows what they were thinking
10:07 First of all, Im really happy to see an oboist, and second of all, the right hand is very important because when you play an oboe, your left hand is at the top, and right is on the bottom. There’s a thumb rest for your right thumb, and the RH supports all the weight of the oboe. That explains my wrist pain :,}
Same I was so happy to se an oboe!! we love the small bits of representation we get

Brett: How many hours do you practise a day?
Grace: Depends on my mood
AS A PIANIST, I COULD RECOGNIZED A FELLOW RIGHT AWAY
AHHHH SAME IKR
how?
It was the fact that she had all violin friends for me. Immediately wondered if she was an accompanist for them.
i felt the same way, but isn't the same for all instruments?
Eddie, a proud perfect pitch proceeds to ask: "do you have perfect pitch?" (1:18)
“Do you have perfect pitch?”
“No”
“Okay”
“What was that-Well most people don’t even have-“ *resigns*
He is just curious lol🤣🤣
As soon as Grace answered “none” on where she struggles the most-tempo, rhythm or intonation-I knew she was a pianist because intonation was never a major problem for pianists compared to wind, brass or string instruments. Plus her fave key is C major.
They nearly guessed correct, then said pianists don't like white keys. 😆
@@huaiwei higher level pianists dislike keys like c major because it's more difficult to play technically hard pieces on white keys
Now I want like an impromptu comcert with everyone included in this little game 🥰
Brett: Do you struggle with intonation?

they didn't think of the helpful question for the girl: can we see your hands? If her nails are short, she's a pianist
@Marissa Burnette yeah but they could've checked her calluses
or a lesbian
This is such a stereotype. I've been biting my nails since I'm 8. Nothing to do with the fact I've started piano 4 years ago.
@@CadenzaPiano true, but it's really uncomfortable to play piano with long nails so one wouldn't be wrong in assuming that from a group of musicians, a person with clipped nails is likely a pianist
@@ratsalad178 a lot of musical instruments are hard to play with long nails so I disagree. The only things I agree is to say that if she has long nails, she is probably not a pianist. But if she had short nails, I cant know what instrument she is playing

Grace:I don't really like Beethoven
Me a piano player:so you have chosen death
Yeah, like, how does a pianist don't like GOD Beethoven?
I don't like Mozart's piano pieces (I like his symphonies), but Beethoven...
@@LucasOliveira-wo9xj Probably a contrarian personality type thing. Kinda relate, ngl.
I just like… don’t understand. Howww?
To each their own, of course, but…
I am a pianist and I don't like Beethoven.
Me, as an oboist with some harp experience:
- Eb Major is so harp, because that's where the levers sit so you don't have to move anything
- What oboist likes Ravel?!
Yeah, Eb is my favorite key to play in as a trombonist. Simply for ease purposes
Eddy: Do you have perfect pitch?
Brett: What was that for?
😂😂😂
Lol eddy flexing his perfect pitch as always 🤣
Surely less chance. Intonation is far easier on a piano
Ok but the pianist had me fooled too she had MAJOR flute vibes
"not a trombone" "what are we left with" "clarinet, obeo and trombone"

Imagine if somebody said ray chen and twoset excitedly started airplaying on a violin. Grace's reaction was dead giveaway that she's not a flautist.
Ahh that make sense
Oh Brett that brass situation... You have to trust your intuition more! Very fun video guys!
I always find you guys so fun to watch despite me not knowing much of anything about music. Your enthusiasm just draws me in! This video was lots of fun :D
Hey, who else would love to see a proper metal video fom Twoset?
Perhaps a 'classical in metal' video with things like Wizard's Last Rhyme from Rhapsody or Angel of Salvation from Galneryus (which is based on the Tchaikovsky violin concerto btw)... or a reaction to symphonic metal, like Nightwish's Ghost Love Score or fully instrumental half-an-hour piece All the Works of Nature which Adorn the World....
YES PLEASE
Let's not forget one of the best introductions to metal in a long time, The HU. Seeing traditional music fused with metal in the best way possible.
I know that's more mathrock than metal, but Polyphia would also be sick.
They need to check out Diablo Swing Orchestra.
Vivaldi, the original metal guy. Hey, replace the strings with electric guitar and add in some double bass drum - boom you got baroque metal.
I had a lot of fun with this one. Thank you guys for lifting me up every day, I always look forward to you.
I want this format to become a series!!
as someone who plays a lever harp I guessed harp for Nigel almost immediately because a lever harp with all levers down is naturally tuned to Eb major ◡̈ maybe if they asked to see or feel his fingers they wouldn’t have eliminated harp so early because harpists usually have calluses on their fingers
This is exactly what I thought as a fellow lever harpist😂
I immediately thought: "hello there, fellow lazy harpist"
This is actually really fun. I hope to see more of this honestly.
As soon as Danilo said his name I thought "that's chilean accent" and yes, he's chilean. So nice to see chilean people hanging out with Twoset
This is one of their best videos yet. We need more of this!
When the pianist said that most of her friends are violinists, I be like: gurl sameee! Most of my musician friends are violinists, then guitarists, then one flautist😂😂😂😂🤧 accompanist friend be like🤣🤣🤣
Just wondering why you guys don't do this style of videos anymore? I'm not really a violon fan but I enjoy your personalities and commentary on music so having one of these once in a while would be cool for the normies.

how does a pianist hate beethoven... that's unreal!
Depends, from personal motives could be. From difficulty in some pieces to from being burnt out. I like Beethoven, but I could understand if a pianist hate it. I like some pieces from him, but some are just so overplayed I don't feel the joy.
I think most pianists don't hate Beethoven. I play the piano but Beethoven is just not my favourite.
I can understand her not liking Beethoven, just like I don't really like Mozart.
@@lucist3098 this is shocking to me 😂😂. Like i think all the pianists i know have a common goal to play pieces by mozart or beethoven and thats what drove them for most of their journey as a pianist. Not liking either of these comes as a shock but then again people are different so fair enough.
