I don't think Lawrence Stroll is the right person to turn this from midfielders into contenders - he's a fashion businessman, not a racer. Fernando does zero development work as usual like his alpine and McLaren days which mean they have to rely on daddy Stroll for feedback
Pretending that you can compare Lance's driving to Alonso's is the real problem with AMR. Stop lying to yourself, if Lance is ever faster than Fernando, its because Lance demanded that it appear that way. Lance's only real competition left when Nikita Mazepin was banned. I'd even take Logan Sergeant over Stroll if they had equal machinery
Aston really went from overachieving with the small amount of resources they had to underachieving with the same resources as the big teams.. get the old force India squad together
So they came out the blocks flying in 2023, and they didnt have then their new wind tunnel or fancy buildings finished, so we cant use that excuse why they dropped off, so surely its a development issue. The basic car was there, they stuffed up the development pathway and went backwards.
They are using licensed footage from teams' filming days, what they cannot show is footage from the races. Sometimes they use the F1 game to simulate that. 😄
If Jos bullies Max into signing to AM for 26 The Daddy Stroll would drop Alonso in a heartbeat! There is noway in heck he would drop his boy because the project is all about Lance (unless Max signs then it'll be all about Max!)

i wish lance would take f1 more seriously because when he’s good he’s good and i think he has a lot more potential if he just tried harder. so he comes across as arrogant and uninterested.
@Ciridan Ferrari and McLaren have won races, got podiums and have been/are title contenders since he left. Renault is French so they are a mess no matter what
To be fair, they said "contenders" and not "winners". McLaren were in the hunt during the 2010-2012 seasons, and Ferrari had a title shot in 2017 and 2018. You can argue that Alonso would have gotten more out of those cars than the drivers who actually drove them at those times and potentially pushed the likes of Red Bull and Merc a lot harder. Even Renault - as Lotus - had a regular podium-finishing car in 2012/2013 that won 2x races which was a huge improvement on their post-Alonso era performance
@@richardm5664lmao no. Alonso only almost won 2010 and 2012 because he got lucky with reliability issues for other drivers. Not because he was better. He made as many or more mistakes. He lost 2007 in the best car to his rookie teammate and to a Ferrari driver in a slower car with more reliability issues. The Alonso delusions need to stop. McLaren and Ferrari probably wouldn’t have even been capable of developing a fast car with how toxic he was. He’s the primary reason why Honda left McLaren.
i am still mad at Honda for leaving F1, and then coming back only to deliver engines for Aston Martin, it´s sad that the LEGENDATY Fernando Alonso is "trapped" in that team with a spoiled brat and his dad.
Alonso has been a controversial figure but teams have tolerated (to an extent) his antics because of his skill. Ricciardo had lost his mojo but got a second chance, firstly because of the skill he had demonstrated, but also because of the marketing potential he has. Stroll has one of the worst attitudes on the grid, has zero marketing potential because of it and is certainly not a driver who performs miracles at the wheel to overshadow that negative trait. The fact that every team member knows that only one driver can extract the maximum out of their car consistently, costing the team points and personell any potential WCC position bonus, at a time when F1 teams simply do not pay enough relative to the workload and ingenuity that goes into those cars. If that wasn't enough Lance Stroll paints the picture that he is never at fault so what motivation, other than pure passion would an "average" Engineer or Mechanic have to justify the long hours they put in with the benefits they get?
I suspect those transplants are there for the big payday. I doubt Lawrence will inspire some organic effort to make a championship team. Also, does anyone buy an Aston Martin because of Lance?

You didn't press home the point of AM's clown of a number 2 driver. Nepotism rules and is the only reason Lawrence Stroll bought AM. Lawrence Stroll seems to think he can 'bull' his way into F1 and automatically win a championship. Ain't going to happen.
The number 2 drivers is irrelevant. Redbull had Webber and Perez. Mercedes had Bottas. Ferrari had Barrichello. None of those drivers are capable of winning the title even with a dominant car. Stroll doesn’t deserve a WDC seat but he deserves a seat in F1. His on track results are better than Hulkenberg.

I'm struggling to understand the AMR structure. You've got a bunch of people who report to a load of 'leaders' when really it's Krack or Lawrence calling all the shots. I don't think Lawrence Stroll is the right person to turn this from midfielders into contenders - he's a fashion businessman, not a racer. You can't take what worked in his realm into F1, they're very different demands. Not to mention the fact that just because you hire big names on the technical team doesn't mean they'll all gel. It feels like a team led by cynicism and nepotism - both Lawrence and Lance need to leave if Aston are to be taken seriously. I hope Adrian Newey says no to whatever money is thrown at him.
Being The Race, I’m surprised they’re not trying to somehow blame it on Alonso. I’m glad more people are recognizing laziness is Lance’s main problem. It’s also a damning one.
Laziness AND clumsiness
I mean other then Lawrence, who is really on Lance's side? That and the race has never been exactly making Lance look like a genius, just far more subtle (The contract mentions are usually funniest examples because its the least obvious way of saying "Yeah, he's not going nowhere")
No, being The Race i'm surprised they haven't blamed Alpine 😊.
@@RACECAR The contract announcements are so cringe. It’s like having a press release where your parents confirm you will continue to receive your allowance.
@@mythai9593 Blamed Flavio you mean.
If Aston start winning with BIG difference between the other teams we know Flavio Briatore are in the background with his clever cheats to make Aston Martin perform better.
Keep it banging!
The(Aramco) Race
Why is there never any mention of the sub-optimal correlation between wind tunnel and actual performance that teams using the old Toyota wind tunnel have seen? Mercedes had the same issue and also use that wind tunnel don't they?
Aston Martin fumbled the bags for sure ✊😂😂😂😂😂
Come on Aston Martin
Straw you are comfortably the best take of formula 1
Another thoughtful analysis!
Stroll has never outscored his teammate over a season. He's a bum
Outscored Sirotkin 6-1 in 2018, (granted that Williams was abysmal).
A quick google search doesn’t take very long.
Lawrence's businessman side has to overtake his fatherly side. His son is the one hindering.
Give Lawrence respect for saving so many jobs from racing point
You have to add the name of the sponsor for this video… 😂😂
It doesnt matter what Aston Martin does or throws at the car ... while they have Lance in a seat , its not going anywhere ... they rely far too much on his input and because of that the car will never be good enough.
As for Newey , there is no doubt in his design brilliance ... its clear from this years Red Bull , he isnt infallible and just having him on the team designing the car again doesnt mean they will automatically be fast.
Red Bull are struggling this year with a car that is no where near as good as last years and Newey doesnt seem to be able to fix his design woes
Damn. That Lance Stroll career f1 results chart says it all😂. Did he really DNF thát much?
Statistically, Alonso is more likely to DNF than Stroll. His DNF percentage is 19% higher than Stroll's.
He won’t ever sell the company… Or at least not until his son has finished his racing career.
If he did, last would be out of Formula One instantly
Or he could still be owner of team and continue building up F1 team
@@rsf1kirito483 it’s a money pit to him… y would he want to?
Lance is the ONLY reason he is all in on them…
If lance left today, he would sell tomorrow
Ouch. The AM team just unsubscribed.
Truth
Really?
Mike Krack....sorry i lost it at that.
Aston Martin limiting factor is Fernando Alonso and lance Stroll, Fernando keep saying this was his best weekend like he always does even when he is 3 tenths slower than lance stroll in Austria after lance made a last corner mistake.
@@jebidiahcarlyon3543that’s objectively not true but ok.
@@jebidiahcarlyon3543 lance stroll is a decent driver when he is motivated to do well
@@lenzschwarze "One swallow does not make a summer"
Aston martin would and should have finished forth last season but stroll is good for a team between 7th and 9th place
Is alonso past it?
Aston really went from overachieving with the small amount of resources they had to underachieving with the same resources as the big teams.. get the old force India squad together
Give the team time. Red Bull took years before becoming a dominant force in the early 2010’s
Its a team in the process of building, learn about the sport kids
Intentionally or not this so comes off as some sort of advert
Misconception #1: Lance Stroll isn't dragging Aston Martin down....😂
So they came out the blocks flying in 2023, and they didnt have then their new wind tunnel or fancy buildings finished, so we cant use that excuse why they dropped off, so surely its a development issue. The basic car was there, they stuffed up the development pathway and went backwards.
The Strolls must love mike Krack
Aston Martin got wrong with it's drivers lineup, they should reshuffle it with new one.
75 percent not too shabby?
How are you managing to dodge the F1 Copyright bullshit?
They are using licensed footage from teams' filming days, what they cannot show is footage from the races. Sometimes they use the F1 game to simulate that. 😄
If Jos bullies Max into signing to AM for 26 The Daddy Stroll would drop Alonso in a heartbeat! There is noway in heck he would drop his boy because the project is all about Lance (unless Max signs then it'll be all about Max!)
Can't wait for all this to come together then Honda give them a dud to power the thing.
That was the weirdest pronunciation of ‘Trevails’ I’ve ever heard
Number 1 misconcept? Bottas would be a major step in the right direction and a much younger driver than Father Time alonso.
I actually wouldn't be mad at that once Alonso left.
They'll never be taken seriously or be able to be a genuine competitor until they get rid of Stroll and have 2 real drivers, doesn't matter how much money you plow in you can't win a championship when one of your drivers is just dead weight as Perez is trying his hardest to prove (and he's significantly better than Stroll).
i wish lance would take f1 more seriously because when he’s good he’s good and i think he has a lot more potential if he just tried harder. so he comes across as arrogant and uninterested.
AM Six Misconceptions Tom is Edd missing brother
I’ll car about Aston Martin once Stroll has sold it.
remember when alonso said he wouldnt join merc because he thought it would be a step back......ha
Any money if Adrian Newey joins Aston, Dan Fallows leaves
They'll be championship contenders as soon as alonso leaves. That's the history of the alonso
Yes because Renault, Ferrari and McLaren have all won so much since he left...
Mike Krack is on top ... everyone is under Mike Krack.
i am still mad at Honda for leaving F1, and then coming back only to deliver engines for Aston Martin, it´s sad that the LEGENDATY Fernando Alonso is "trapped" in that team with a spoiled brat and his dad.
At some point in the not too distant future, Daddy's money and patience are going to run out.
Issue is know-how at tech department.
They can copy a car but they can't develop a car.
Wow Andy cowell is back 😐 quite literally the most successful engine guru, BMW most powerful engine, best V10 and than V8 and 2014 V6. Andy is bigger than Adrian
The Race, the channel of F1 pit wall speculation and gossip, but wants to let you know they *think* there are misconceptions about a billion-dollar funded F1 team with a $230M (USD) state-of-the-art wind tunnel facility failing. Aramco obviously pay _very_ well.
Get rid of Lance and you'll improve your chances instantly
This channel is sponsor by ARAMCO.
Basically they just can’t have a consistent dev program and timeline?
I am so early I might be a bot
Give Adrian everything he wants, & retire Lance.
Get rid of stroll for a start
“The good news is that there’s a reason for that” - they have no idea what they are doing..yay
You didn't press home the point of AM's clown of a number 2 driver. Nepotism rules and is the only reason Lawrence Stroll bought AM. Lawrence Stroll seems to think he can 'bull' his way into F1 and automatically win a championship. Ain't going to happen.
how did you even make that judgement when you didnt have enough time to watch the full video and get to the point where they did mention lance
Thank you. Where have these people been? Lance has some talent, but he's not an F1 level driver. Its not even debatable, he's a nepo baby and daddy won't let him fail
They do talk about that, did you quit halfway the video?
LAWRENCE STROLL is the problem :D
The end.
No actually. He signed wdcs and he actually knows what he is doing. He is most likely going to get newey. He already got Honda. Lawrence stroll is actually competent and makes you wonder how his son is related to him apart from blood
lol exaclty the opposite
The name is Lance, Lance Struggle
Need to ditch the nepo-baby.
