    This is for you if you notice your searches go to a different website instead of www.google.com using the google chrome browser. Google searches taking you to bing, or other? This guide can help you solve it.

    Hey yall, please like this up so everyone can see it. The easiest way is to find the ID and search for it multiple times in the registry. When you find one delete it but make sure to delete all the files within that specific folder. It'll say you cant delete default, then back out the registry and open it again and do find and input ID back into there. When you go to extensions it should not say its dsiabled in the google chrome extensions it shouldbe completely gone. "I REPEAT IT SHOULD BE COMPLETLY GONE WITHIN THE GOOGLE CHROME EXTENSIONS." This guy on the video still has the virus on his registry. I hope this helps so many of you!

    Just a tip for anyone who is having a hard time finding where in the registry the extension key is stored. There is a find feature in regedit. You can copy the ID of the malicious extension and search the entire registry for any references too it.

    for anyone wondering, the re-installing part of this extension its almost certainly in the directory "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\ExtensionInstallForcelist" delete everything inside, if you cant find the extensions you can search the id using edit>find or ctrl+F

  • @dumitrualexandru338

    I should mention that you should open safe mode with network so you can open google and copy the extension's id, so you can press ctrl+f in the registry and shearch for the i(MULTIPLE TIMES, AND KEEP DELETING EVERYTHING WITH THAT ID UNTIL THE SHEARCHES WONT SHOW NOTHING!!!), after that you should have completed the procedure.

    Make sure that you are searching for the ID in the registry MULTIPLE times. I found 10+ places on my computer that the ID was located. All you need to do is go to the edit tab at the top of the registry, paste the ID and click 'find'. You can keep pressing f3 after that to go to the next location the ID was found.

      It sounds like the registry is still there have you checked (win + r and typing regedit). It had my google password somehow, even though I go nowhere and put in my password if it's not google, and I am wondering how it got to my computer. I'm guessing it's some sort of virus that downloads if you go on weird websites, which I haven't been, but I don't know.

    Another thing, seems I can remove the extension from the chrome, but the settings page still says mine was under managed by organization (which is a personal pc so f*** this). If I check the extension folder. There will be another extension, with different id, stays there without showing on the chrome setting page. And I get nothing from searching that 'extra' extension id in reg. So the malware is still in my system, adding the extension everytime.

      I had the exact same issue but for chrome but I managed to fix it and now it completley gone. The virus most likely has multiple copies throught your device so deleting one does get rid of all of them. This is how I completley got rid of the virus on my laptop. Go to registry editor, then click edit and then find. You're going to enter the exact ID of the virus to find and delete it. You're going to keep doing this until the virus is deleted in all the folders its hidden in so when you try and find it again the registry cand find anymore of its files. After that you can reset your browser and it should be completley gone. Hope this helps!

    Hello there, I have the same problem. I tried to remove them in Registry Editor, but it gave me the error. I cannot delete all specific values. I hope you may respond to my comment as a help.

      Hey so if it gives you that error just do the following in the registry editor
      1) You need to right-click in the file "Google" and then click on "permissions"
      2) Then hit the "advanced" button
      4) On the top, it would be in blue and says "change"
      5) Then in the description box, you put "everyone", click on "check names" and then you click on "ok"
      6) Now you would have to check the two boxes, one is on top and the other is on the bottom that say
      "replace all child object..."
      7) Then you hit apply and apply again.

    It's showing the red text and remove button on the extension but the remove button doesn't work and I don't trust that it's fully gone. Is it fully gone?

      That should be okay its an indicator that it is currently disabled but if you don't feel safe i would suggest speaking to a local technician

    didnt work for me. Couldnt find it in Safe Mode even after checking all those suggested locations. Although my Google Chrome is saying it disabled it in Extensions so does that mean it'll stop doing what it's doing?

    Hii, I have a question. I deleted that virus extension out of Registry Editor and even when I check, it's not there, wich is good. Its also disabled from my Chrome extentions, but it's still there. Like it's turned of, but the whole extension still exists there. Is it supposed to be like that?

      I had the same issue.

    Hello I had a similar issue on my Microsoft edge, I followed the steps and the extensions are turned off, but I still see them in my extensions in the settings for edge. Should I still be concerned?

    • @whateveritis7370
      @whateveritis7370  Год назад

      Typically thats a good thing if it shows as off/disabled but to be safe you can ask a local computer technician to verify the virus is inactive.

    What should I do if the malware is preventing me from accessing the extension page

      @whateveritis7370  Год назад

      I assume you are referring to malware thats on your desktop then you would need to run an anti-virus first or check if there is some strange file/application that was recently installed or downloaded on your system.
