I’m fishing that lake in April. I just joined a fishing club and will be fishing my first tournament there. Any advice on what to throw and where to go. Any help would be very appreciated
It might be completely different than when I went but we did the best around the most grass. Wood and cypress trees didn't have them for us. Marion was the better lake for us. Those fish hate cold, the mornings were slow
Damnit Son! Y'all got into some good ones! Man your killing me, my boat is sitting in the shop right now...I swear they can't get it done soon enough for me! I'm missing some of the best part of the year! Gah!
yeah.. nah man. you called me crazy on my last video for the jon boat.. and here you are wrestling alligators bare handed over here being steve irwin.. c'mon man! I'm good on that snake too. Is that a northern water snake? Good fishin too man.
ohh you talked me into asking to hold an exceller when I went to buy my friend a sodona for his spinning set up. Ended up picking me an exceller up too. they over a oz lighter than the sadonas man. good call. never would of thought they were that much difference, hopefully that ups my wacky game!
@@landonmoore76 exceler vs sedona hand in hand I had to give it to diawa. like 15% lighter and I know its plenty tuff. looking forward to going after another PB with it on a medium light haha.
Man, I'm curious if you've fished Lake James up by Nebo? That's a bang up lake too! I miss catching those Pike, or Pickeral you call em...I used to catch them and Musky alot growing up in Indiana.
Yes I've fished Lake James 2 times its on RUclips. It has been a tough lake for me but it's good in the spring. You guys had northern pike they get alot bigger than these chain pickerel. I wish we had pike they look fun to catch
@@landonmoore76 Yes Sir, those Pike and Musky are a ton of fun! Ya don't typically catch big numbers but man, having a 30+ inch fish explode on a lure more than makes up for the lack of numbers. I've heard there are Musky in Fontana...Im gonna have to check that out. Hopefully not as many folks are targeting them as do in northern waters. Anyhow, good luck out there...Im digging your videos!
which lake were you guys on? How hard is it to navigate? Ive heard nightmares about tearing a boat up. I am wanting to go down there and try it in next 3-4 weeks if i can. Thanks
We fished both lakes but did better at Marion. We basically idled around everywhere it's sketchy driving. You can be 1000 yards from the bank and it be 2or3ft deep
I bet it was a blast catching them on that frog. I can't wait until top water bite turns on here on Norman. I'm going out this weekend, hope I catch them as well as you guys did!! Thanks for posting!
Ok will do its in the description also. www.tacklewarehouse.com/Terminator_Popping_Frog/descpage-TWPFG.html?from=gshop&gclid=CjwKCAjw9r-DBhBxEiwA9qYUpUVrNdMfIvEsld2YrJ9rj95ZlEFlPg4ayRd_WS2tupjb9vgwNjYBiRoCtVkQAvD_BwE
I had to go ask somebody what a bowfin was. Down here in SC we call them mud fish and most people try not to catch them. I can’t even tell ya how many spinner baits and beetle spins I’ve lost to those damn things.
Haha after I catch one or two I'll probably say the same thing especially if they cut me off. I bet a bowfin is terrible in a bass tournament, you think you have a big bass on.
Best video yet Landon loved it, glad you guy's had an awesome day! I once said to myself I would love to fish with you, but after the snake deal I'm good by myself LOL. Just kidding stay safe buddy and keep catching them bass!!
It depends on where you're fishing bit a wacky rig senko will catch them great this time of year. A frog or a popper is great for big bass this time of year
Dude we need to get out together. I wish I was a bit closer to you. The lakes here in Raleigh have huge fish and I love that you’re a reptile geek. I was fishing that bfl the week before there on Santee and I was loving all the gators and other wildlife. I loved that place.
Santee is awesome. I wish I was closer to the big bass lakes near Raleigh. I really need to get to Jordan but I'm sure it'll get her hard after the MLF guys fish it
I do not know where to start. What exactly are you fishing? you practicing for a tourney, in a tourney or fun fishing? Next on the list is Man, well, WOW comes to my mind, that was just amazing, you got some basketballs. No way would I have done what you did, not the alligator, not the gar looking fish, and damn for sure, not the snake. Dude, you are a special kind of crazy - good but damn man.
We were just fun fishing. The goal of the trip was to catch a 20lb 5 fish limit. I like reptiles and it was one of the reasons I wanted to go to Santee so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It was a fun day I need to go back there sometime
Landon... just in case nobody said it yet: You are f%#@ng nuts. :-) Mad respect for anybody who will reach out and grab a snake, or intentionally try to catch a gator. Me, I'll stick to bass. :-)
Awesome man. Thanks for sharing. Santee on my bucket list forsure.
Thanks that place is really awesome. I have to get back there sometime
22lb bag! Hell yes! Excellent job guys! 👊😎
I didn't contribute much to that bag 😂. It was fun watching him catch them bigguns. That place is awesome you need to go try it one day.
@@landonmoore76 one of these days I'll get a boat I'm definitely hitting up santee for sure.

Got to catch that shad spawn and you can get 2-3 7 plus out in just the morning bite
The shad spawn is awesome at Norman my home lake also. The lake is dead after 10 am though night time is the best in the shad spawn
Was that on Marion or Moultrie? Was your Lakemaster maps a big help to keep from hitting stump? I'm going next weekend!!! Where'd you put in??
We fished both lakes and 4 ramps in 2 days. I would say John c land ramp was the best. We drove real slow to avoid stumps
Great video. Santee Cooper is awesome. Like you said everything looks good . Kinda plays games with your mind
Yeah it fun though but I bet in a tournament it would l mess with your head
Headed to Santee on Thursday for the weekend! I can't wait!
Awesome they should be biting great right now. Good luck go catch a p.b.
Great video, keep up the great work.
Thanks it was a fun day and a awesome lake. I need to get back there sometime
Need to make the trip to Santee. Topwater action is awesome and hard to beat. Great video!!!!
Yep topwater is the best. Thanks Santee is an awesome place. I need to go back there soon
Damnit Son! Y'all got into some good ones! Man your killing me, my boat is sitting in the shop right now...I swear they can't get it done soon enough for me! I'm missing some of the best part of the year! Gah!
That sucks and yeah this is my favorite time of the year to fish. Hopefully you get your boat back soon, topwater is about to get great
@@landonmoore76 Yeah buddy, I'm cranked for that top water bite!

Lol it was my first brown watersnake. You can't beat Shimano you anything from th is good. That exceler is nice really smooth drag
@@landonmoore76 exceler vs sedona hand in hand I had to give it to diawa. like 15% lighter and I know its plenty tuff. looking forward to going after another PB
with it on a medium light haha.
So how many can you keep a day.
Bass is 5 per person but I would let all bass go

I am going to be on lake Norman the 21st to the 24th. Hope I run in to you. Great video.
That's it was a fun day. I work on weekends but I hope you catch them. They should be biting great at Norman then

Very good video! Love the gator. Never seen it done before. Good bag as well!
Thanks it was a good day. Santee is an amazing lake. I'll have to get back there sometime soon.
Love the fish catches. Awesome alligator catch. But that snake dude.... That gave me anxiety watching that shit!! Lol
Lol I been snatching snakes since I was 7. It's normal for me. Santee is awesome
You are wild
If I can't catch the bass I'll catch the reptiles
Awesome video! Loved it, I kept hoping you would get a big one. Now you have a reason to go back!
Yes it was a fun day I have to get back there sometime soon
The alligator catch was great. Wasn’t expecting that.
Thanks I really waved to catch an alligator. I've heard there's a ton of them in Santee.
Awesome video!
Thanks it was a fun day. That place is awesome
You’re the Steve Irwin of reptiles! Very cool trip. Your videos definitely make me want to go down there. Good stuff.
I grew up watching Steve Irwin all the time. He's a big reason I was catching snakes when I was a kid. Santee is an awesome lake.
I bet it was a blast catching them on that frog. I can't wait until top water bite turns on here on Norman. I'm going out this weekend, hope I catch them as well as you guys did!! Thanks for posting!
Thanks I hope you catch them at Norman. I did terrible last Tuesday just 1dink but they should be biting.
solid day man!!
That place is awesome. I need to get back down there sometime
Where at on the upper lake? I think I’ve been there before
Congrats on the win, glad your back Do you do any guiding on Norman . I am in the area several times a year , could use a guide
I have always wanted to go to Santee. Either to flathead or bass fish.
It's a great place for both. Giant blues and stripers too. The bass fishing is great but can be tough if you go at at the wrong time.
Please show the frog u r using. Thanks
Ok will do its in the description also.

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome dude
Thanks it was a fun day I need to get back there sometime soon
2 things you'll never hear a bass fisherman from Louisiana say " I wish I could catch a bowfin" or " I wish i could catch a pickerel" lol!

What creek were yall in?
The top water is key early...like 4-6am
Yes but it can work all day. In the spring I think late afternoon is the best topwater time
I met this guy at the beach last year in topsail island and we were makral fishing . Tell him I said hey.
Awesome he can fish that's for sure. I'll tell him
Nice gator catch, I wanna go now !
I've heard there's gators everywhere but it was cold the morning before and they weren't really out. I need to go on the summer
Where did y’all end up staying at? I’m going down in 2 weeks kinda curious.
We stayed at a Days Inn in Sumter I believe. We just slept a few hours and got back on the lake
What bait do you recommend for this time of year

The musk is soooooooooo gross
Yes but that lake is awesome
What part of the lake is this
Marion from John C Land ramp
