That’s not entirely true. Barbary lions used to have very dark manes and darkened as they got older, appearing almost melanistic. A melanistic cub would be very viable. They simply don’t carry the genes for it

I’m on the same boat I put in 300+ hours on it got 100+ white take diamond but no great one white tale really heart breaking rather go to my call of duty
I understand that feral pigs pink is rare but pigs are already pink so in my book I count this as the only true pink rare in the game
