I love to see my fellow Black ppl rasing and buying AMAZING heifers , such a beautiful big brangus heifer, shes gonna be a heck of a mama, i also have angus , brahman, brangus and f1 heifers
Thanks so much! The first cattle I purchased were Brangus. I didn't know what I was doing. Thought I was buying black Angus. Two of my heifers are registered black angus from #44Farms and the rest are Brangus.
Love your new heifer... reminded me when back in the day when I aced Livestock Judging and Selling.. Good ol' days =))
I still want to learn more about livestock judging. I think it’s cool.
Beautiful animals!
Thank you very much!
Love your farm!!! You really motivate me as an African American. At one point in my life I raised a few head of cattle but due to family disputes over the land I was like the heck with it and sold all the cattle I had
Sorry to read. I started out raising with family. I had 4 head of cattle. Then I decided I wanted to grow and purchase more. So I went and bought 100 acres and more cattle. I've been working them alone ever since.
@@PrideRanch that’s my dream, I’m a long haul truck driver and that’s all I think about while driving!!! Proud of you brother, keep up the good work!!!!!!!
@@PrideRanch👏🏽👏🏽
Congratulations on the new heifer
thanks!
Nice looking cattle 🙂
Thanks! I'm raising seedstock and commercial cattle.
Nice herd
Thanks!! I’ve been slowly building over the years
Hill County has always had beautiful land.
Nice herd of cattle
thanks! Learning and growing.
Good looking heard of cows .
Than you!!! I put a lot of care into raising them.
Congratulations on your new heifer. She is NICE!
I like the Empire heifers.
Hey brother, I just saw ya site. I am from Ellis County myself. Gonna check ya out.
Nice farm
Thanks 👍
Awesome heifer, I am jealous!
Thanks! I will be making embryos and selling flushes. Would you be interested?
Not personally, but I know some people who very well may. I already pulled up her sire on the website
@@user-hl5pk7dg9u I'd be open to meeting them and discussing. Her sire is a proven Brangus AI sire. Empire continues to make his mark on the Brangus breed. I plan on using him to make Brangus Ultrablacks with my 44 Lucy 274K Angus Heifer.
Damn pick of the litter
Thanks!! Can’t wait to see her progeny
You have such a beautiful group of cattle, well done for the heifer purchase and great work 👏 🎉
Thanks! I've put focus on phenotype. Next nutrition to keep them in good condition.
Farm Tour?
I haven’t opened up the ranch to tours just yet. I’ll have to reconsider
Fine looking livestock. Your pasture looks good, too. What kind of grass is that?
Thanks for the kind words! This is a winter rye grass. Not to be confused with a cereal rye.
Yes sir looking mighty fine they'll be looking like the others at the ranch before long with them nice slick glossy coats one thing about she has plenty grass to eat good green fating stuff what's the story on the two ear tags?
Morning!! Blue ear tags are to control insects. The other ear tag is to identify the animal.
@PrideRanch Good morning I figured one was a ID tag I listen to you okay hopefully you having a great start of the morning of ranch life keeping your game tight.
@@rayjohnson7886 one of my Modelo heifers still have her sales lot tag in her ear. Last time she was in the squeeze shoot I forgot to take it out.
@PrideRanch That's understandable whenever people has a lot to do in one day and trying to stay on schedule and places to go and people to see forgetting is easy to do.
Hey, where'd the lil red one come from @ 7:00 😆 ? And she's a good lookin specimen, good choice. 🌞
That is my little track star. He is the result of two parents with red recessive gene.
@@PrideRanch He is too cute 🌞
I want to know where the red calf came from
Thanks!! I was surprised too. I’m told both the dam and the sire carried a red recessive gene. As a result, the calf comes out red.
I been raising cattle for 5o years a I think they was a red bull in at some where
My dad feels the same. The dam was AI'ed to a black brangus bull. And was only exposed to my 2 year old black brangus bull.
I'm not saying your bull was red I think somewhere down the line someone had a red bull got in someone pasture
I understand. My dad feels the same. Anything is possible. For this situation the cows were enclosed in a corral with 6 foot tall metal pipe.
Nice may I ask what she cost you
She was expensive. How can I help?
@@broderickpride9124 just curious one prices at that sale in Texas, I’m in north Texas just wanting to see price difference from area to area . I recently just purchased a heifer from triangle B ranch out of Oklahoma.
I understand. Genetics and goals of one's programs will tend to guide the purchasing price. Texas Brangus Breeder's association posted the sale average of $6,768 on 52 Brangus females. My heifer was $14K. I'll be selling embryos out of her later this year if there is any interest.
Ok the old video
