Ritchie Blackmore, the inventor of neo-classical rock/metal. Writer of the most famous hard rock guitar riff in the history of guitar. Smoke on the Water. One of the most influential rock guitarist of all time. Richie was idolized by an entire generation of rock and metal guitarists. Here he is aging gracefully doing renaissance music that he loves, with his beautiful wife. Have you ever seen his bombastic guitar destruction performances as a younger man with Deep Purple or Rainbow?
I had the pleasure of seeing this Band live and it was just fantastic - wonderfully- magical. And Ritchie Blackmore is a guitar god ♥

Ritchie Blackmore (guitarist for Deep Purple & Rainbow) has a long held love of Medieval music and instruments. He writes the music and his lovely wife Candace Night writes the lyrics and sings them beautifully. They perform in medieval costumes and pay at Renaissance Fairs and other venues.
I was going to suggest Blackmore's Night when Suzie was talking about Medieval costumes and such during a BandMaid video reaction.
You guys are full of surprises! I'm glad you got to discover this group! I've been a fan for several years they have lots of songs out there, they've been recording since 1997!

They only seen a few DP and Rainbow's songs.
One of the best bands ever Blackmore's Night. People showing up in medieval outfits tend to get a discount for shows. And they've been known to perform at local pubs for those who couldn't attend a show. Usually love black lipstick but that blue kills it.

When I listen to this music, I imagine that I'm sitting in some medieval tavern, drinking ale, and this band is playing on stage. I love their tracks "Wish you were hear", "No second chances", it's really unreal!

I feel like reading a fairy tale book. Back to childhood. My tears drop and happy at the same time. Nice song Ritchie. Deep Purple is one of my grandfather's favorite bands.
They mostly play in Castles around Europe, so usually not much need for setting up the stage other than some hayballs and such. Attendees who show up in medieval garp get either a discount or a front row seat if you so choose. It is a lot of fun, and sometimes Ritchie whips out the electric for some killer blues or a rendition of "Child In Time" or "Soldier of Fortune".

"That Guitar Player" how you dare? we own that man a lot, thanks to him the rock and metal world are what they are.. maybe would be better to make some investigation before reacting cause Ritchie Blackmore deserves the biggest respect even dreesing a medieval costume on a renaissance fair xD and to be honest him playing with his wife at blackmore´s night when he could easily being doing something more mainstream is great.. is a very good story..

Blackmore's Night is a great group..... "Fires at Midnight' and "Loreley" are two other great songs. Ritchie and Candice make such a great musical couple.
Don't forget Renaissance Faire, Hanging Tree, Faerie Queene and of course, Ghost of a Rose
