Has this printer had any problems yet? My ink-tank Canon stopped delivering ink to the printer heads or just clogged up completely. This is apparently a common problem with ink-tank printers. Is the ink flush pad, for print nozzle cleaning, replaceable?
Hi, i was planning to buy this photoprinter Epson ecotank et 8550(in white version)in amazon USA..but Im not certain if i could use this in 220v 50-60hz.. The seller in amazon usa told me that it is 110-120v..So I looked elsewhere got an eye to Dell-USA site since they have that in white version and told me it supports 120-230v 50-60hz, told me too that the info in amazon-usa for this printer which supports only 110-120v is somewhat error in the specification.. But in the actual, it could use 220v 50-60hz.. please enlighten me..
Great review! Thanks so much! I have a couple questions. You printed your calf of regular plain paper, what specifically is the plain paper you used? Any chance you have tried using 12x12 cardstock? I would like to know more about 12x12 sizes.
These Epson printers are escellent for printing high quality photos, but you need to be using them very often. From someone who has used Epson printers for years, the death of all these printers is the cloghing of the nozzles in the printhead, if you don't use them constantly and only print a document or a photo once a month, i do not recommend them, cause the ink dries inside the tiny nozzles and that's it, the printer becomes a paper weight.
@@EmmanouilPsaradakis If you print every single day or every other day and a lot, the obvious answer is the Epson, because the ink is much cheaper, and since you'll be printing very often, you won't give the print head a chance to get the ink dry and clogging one of the nozzles. On the other hand, if print quality is the most important for you, and you don't print very often, I'd go with the HP, because the colors and the print quality is much higher because the ink is different, but more expensive as well. Aside from the printing department, the HPs tend to come with better scanners because the offer full duplex (automatic double sided scanning and printing) while the Epsons charge you more for the ink cost convenience, but skim on the features and quality in other departments. One thing to note, the Epson ecotank printers can be refilled very easily, very often and much cheaper than other cartridge based printers, but they also require a separate "maintenance box" which also needs to be replaced for every 2-3 ink refills, but that part is very inexpensive approximately $10 bucks, and extremely simple to change. So, this should not be a set back or anything of much importance when opting for Epson printers. For reference, I own and use both, an Epson Ecotank ET-4850 and a HP OfficeJet Pro 9025.
Hi a great review so helpful to see the print come out, such good quality printing and colour reproduction. I purchased the same model in the UK I found the build quality of the lower paper trays was very thin poor quality plastic and it kept getting jammed! I’m not sure if the the Canadian Epson are better it looks a better build! I also noticed after doing the test printing and alignment test during set up of the printer that a huge amount of ink had been used! So I returned my printer sadly. After using this Epson ET-550 for several months, do you think the Ecotank works out as being much cheaper than a standard inkjet photo printer? Thanks Best Buy Canada Product great channel. Nicola.😊
Question…..I already have the Epson printer that is using sublimation ink. With this printer, can I use the inks that come with the printer for transfer sheet to iron on t-shirt with having to use the sublimation ink?

Thanks for this amazing review. I would like to know does it have the Auto-Duplex printing feature for documents ?
yes but only for A4 format
@@Alessandroale74 Thanks for the reply Alex.
I think you meant 13x19?
How are solid blacks? I've found streaks with other printers
Thanks for the great video. Just wondering what is the maxium size paper it scans?
A4 or Letter.
Exactly what size in inches, is the flatbed scanner? Thanks

If you use an sd card are the pictures available to other devices on your home network? Like your pc?
Hi, this printer can print directly from the SD card that you insert but it won't broadcast those images to other devices.
Thanks for the review. Can you do panoramas? I'm thinking this or the P700
You can, even quite long ones
Can I use third party bottles to refill?
Yes you can, just make sure the inks are pretty much the same from Epson DYE CLARIA (don't buy the sublimation ink)
You mean 13 x 19 lol thanks for the video

Wow, thanks Best Buy.
Hey, I need a color laser printer for basic (non-photo) color prints with the largest number of page per cartridge. Any ideas?
