Truly one of the best Romance Series I’ve ever read ❤and I read a lot - as a fan of the genre since 2013 and a Kindle Reader of 55+ books a year this series is easily in my Top 5!
Not my favourite book…I have to say that I didn’t care for the female lead (Emily). What he (Clive) did was not deserving of the bitter acrimony and unforgiveness. Moreover, it wasn’t done against her - it was done to save his mother’s feelings and escape an upsetting situation. If she’s this unforgiving and extreme in her responses now over such a small thing, it doesn’t give me much hope for their future 😢. It wasn’t easy to read and cheer them on for an HEA. I’m glad she admitted to being stubborn and hard-hearted and that she challenged and matched him, but it just didn’t do it for me.
