A Wedding That Will Move You: Rowden & Leizel

- Early this year, Rowden and Leizl decided to get married on July 8, 2014, Rowden's 30th birthday. Together with their adorable 2-year-old daughter, they already had a perfect family.
Then a twist of fate, Rowden got diagnosed with stage IV liver cancer in late May. His last request was to marry his one true love. After 12hours of preparations, his dream was fulfilled. Unable to take him outside the hospital, we brought the church to him. It was like a heartbreaking fairytale.
Rowden Go, at the age of 29-years-old, passed away on June 11, 2014. Less than 10hours after he said his vows.
He is survived by his wife Leizel May, daughter Zakiah Rowzel, mother Lorelei, and brothers Hasset & Hisham.

Our family would like to thank the Main Man up above, Jesus Christ, for orchestrating this very inspiring story. And for giving us enough time to give Rowden what he wanted, and show him how loved he was.

I lost my beloved wife five years ago; she died of pancriatic cancer, the cancer of cancers. So I know and understand well how much the bride misses him. May God bless him. However, the bride must be one of the most happiest persons in the world, as I was, am and will be. Thank you so much for uploading this moving /touching video.

Just after I lost my wife I thought I should kill myself since I thought I lost everything / the most precious thing / my blessing. However, if I die, she would most probably feel very sad, so I thought again and decided to live. I would live as long as I could and I'd like to live for her. I'm sure she would be glad to see me living happily.
All I see in this video is the power of true love. No sickness, no "poor this girl", nothing bad happens. Just 2 beautiful people are in love with each other and the rest cry for their happiness.
I cried....its so touching.....His wife was that devoted to him. At least he died happy :)

Husband isn't trapping her in any form. And from a realistic point...of course she can marry again...but many countries as well offer benefits for widows.
But that is beside the point...the point is that he wanted to show how much he loves her by keeping his promise to marry her...and they went through with it because the one thing you need to fight cancer...is a clear mind that is full of good thoughts.
Unfortunately this young man was beyond being healed...but I would say that this was worth it....because if he had to die either way...he can at least die with his mind being a tiny bit more at ease...having fullfilled one of his biggest goals that he wanted to fullfill in his life.
Because some people who think that he's trapping her would run away if they are in that situation. They probably think it's not 'worthwhile' and it's 'stupid' to fulfill a love's wish. That being easily said, they don't put themselves in others shoes.

Some of the people who've commented here have no heart, but I, for one, am glad that Rowdan made an honest woman of you Liezel, and that he was able to give his daughter his name. Whether for a day, or a lifetime, marriage ends with death. Thank you Liezel for giving just a little but of final happiness to this dear man. By the way, I was also widowed once by cancer after being married for six years. I'm so sorry for your loss.
When I first watched this video, I was near death in the hospital. I had spent a year there, on and off. On July 4th I received lifesaving surgery to rid an infection. Thank you for this video and sharing it with us. It is comforting to know that he was not alone and was loved to the end. I thank God for all the wonderful moments in our lives, especially those we share with others.

I actually was very blessed to be apart of something like this, my close friend and brother 22yrs old fought cancer for 7 yrs before it took him, we married him and his fiancé in the hospital, in his room, he fought for 10 more days after that day, the most honorable experience of my life and I'll never forget you bro I love you n miss you Josh. Faith is my strength.

Life is what it is. None of us know what the future will bring. But Rowden was so loved by Leizi, their daughter and his family, that his brother helped him marry the woman he loved and had shared a life with.
When his spirit left this mortal plane, it was lifted up with all the love of his wife, daughter, family and friends --- Because love is the only thing that transcends all and carries on within the heart of those loved.

What is wrong with them is that they don't understand that Leizel was not forced nor intimated to do this. They did it because their love for each other was stronger than (his) life. Heck, they even had a daughter between them.

One of the most endearing qualities we have as human beings is the ability to love. This tribute by Rowden's brother Hasset is a memory for his family, friends of Rowden, and the people who cared for him before passing away in the Philippines General Hospital. I would hope those of you foolish enough to leave hateful or inappropriate comments would remove them out of respect to the family. Consider your thoughts and actions carefully in life those of you that hate and disrespect, for one day you may find yourself on a lonely journey with no one to show care and compassion for you when you may be in need of it most.

The worst thing you can ask a person you like is to step back when they don't wanna. A friend of mine also died because of cancer. He married his wife then passed away few months later. Love wins. It does all the time.

One month ago cancer had taken from me person that I've loved the most in the whole universe....
I know how hard it is to watch those sufferings, pains.. Also suffer together cause U realize that those days are the last and there's nothing U can do... I wish all the best to those people who have this terrible disease, all the best to their family members you have to be very strong and fight no matter what happens.
