Thanks so much for sharing! It's difficult to manage change without the additional complications of age, knees and pain. I'll be keeping you in my payers.

What job were you doing Liz? We may be able to suggest an alternative

I am cautious about saying the job I do but it is an unusual one and its in security which is where all my experience is I've been in security for over 20 years, store detective, bouncer, stage security guard etc and the past 12 half years this current job. As you can see its more physical than mental.Liz

I think there comes a point when its accepting and adapting your life, when you get to that point it can be a huge relief, hubby had to do it, I am his carer now but I have health problems and a shot knee (right one) I love my allotment its perhaps too much at times but on those wonderful peaceful sunny days pottering about there is the right tonic.

Thanks for commenting and I agree with you it makes everything (including the pain) worthwhile. Still getting my head round it as my brain only feels 21 but, at times, my body feels 121. Liz

I know exactly how you feel I've lived with pain for about 12 to 15 years in my ankles and knees and been signed off work because of it, no one sees you as having a disability because pain is internal and if people can't see your disability you don't have one !! but pain, constant pain the tablet stop working!!! I feel for you !!! thanks for sharing !! all the best god bless !!

I feel for you and know what you mean I had a stroke over 30 years ago it left me with several problems that put me on an invalidity pension at the age of 21 it took me 11 years to improve enough to go off invalidity and back into the work place now it seems as though I'm having to do the same again, but I am very stubborn I will get there in the end. I gave up on motorbikes a few years about 12 years ago after I had 4 stolen in 2 years, I moved onto trikes but I sold that the other year as I wasn't using it much now I just go on lurch's trike. Just getting ready to go a motorbike rally today for the weekend so I know I will have fun with old friends. Will try and take some footage for you to see. Liz
